I love arcades... In college (UNLV), I spent free days at the arcade at New York New York when it took quarters. Now everything is digital. Argh. The last time i was there i think i spent $30.00 and got a t-shirt. The last trip i went to Circus Circus and they still have the carnival type games which was cool. I remember going there as a kid winning leopard plushes. (still have them). Anyway. I don't know of any other LV Strip hotel that has an arcade other than NY NY and Excalibur (which is small compared to NY NY).
It is not. It was also more of a "gaming lounge" with a bunch of TVs and consoles, than an "arcade", but it's been gone for a while now.
When it first opened, it was more of an arcade (back when the starbucks was an ice cream parlor). But they changed ove to a console lounge a while ago. I noticed last weekend as I walked by the space, it still has some signage for the console lounge, but it looks very much closed. I also remember years ago that Luxor had an arcade on the second floor. I played a lot of Donkey King and Frogger there one trip, lol. There was also a GameWorks on the Strip (next to the Coke store), but it moved (I believe) to the mall down the street a few years ago
Yeah, the signage is still up but it hasn't been open since well before the lockdown last summer. It always seemed like kind of an odd fit for Aria, anyway. Unfortunately, I think it's too small for them to really do anything with. My fondest arcade memory was the bowling alley on Long Island where people would always have birthday parties. They had a Shinobi machine and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. My family also inexplicably had a pinball machine in their house (Doodle Bug).
Go to the pinball hall of fame. They have about 100 pinball machines, I think it is on Tropicana Ave. Take 20 bucks and have a ball
It moved, it's no longer on Tropicana. It's on Las Vegas Blvd nearly all the way down by the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Brand new building though and way better than before (and it was good before!).
