Clicking back on this thread, buzzed me read the title quickly as: "Are pools vaccine proof?" I didn't realize pools are immune to vaccines. Haha

Seriously though. No pool is requiring proof of a vaccine afaik. But I suggest being the better man and following whatever guidelines your pool sets. But if you're vaccinated, they typically won't ask you to mask up it looks like.

And I'll add that neither pools nor anywhere else will require proof of vaccination. I actually think they're not allowed to, either by county/state or company policy. But without wading (no pun intended) too far into the debate, I will second Tring's point and say just do what they suggested and err on the side of caution. I've been very pro-mask all along, but also don't think pools are a big deal. I always wear one except when outdoors or when eating/drinking, or at tables where there's plexi between me, the other players, and the dealers. I know for a fact that there are people out there on the floor who aren't wearing masks and haven't gotten vaccinated yet. It's just not an issue for me anymore, and at this point I kinda like them as an accessory, just like my lapel pins.

This isn't a pool comment, but more a general Vegas comment. Anecdotal observations estimates that maybe about 10% of people in Vegas are wearing a mask. The current US numbers are that just under 50% of Americans are fully vaccinated. Most other countries are less so.
So, do visitors to Vegas happen to disproportionately happen to be vaccinated? As a Canadian, I'm still required to have proof of a negative PCR covid test within 72 hours of flying into the US and back to Canada. I'm fully vaccinated, but can still contract covid (at a smaller risk). Even though I'm fully vaccinated, I'd still wear a mask in Vegas. I'm not willing to risk be unable to fly home.

I certainly think people who are vaccinated are more likely to travel, just from my own personal experience, but it does also seem unlikely that everyone traveling to Vegas is being honest about their vaccine status.

I do believe the number of vaccinated travelers is probably higher than the national average. At this point of you want the vaccine, you can easily get it. At least locally there's appointment availability all day long as basically every place that offers it. If someone isn't vaccinated yet they probably won't ever bbe, because they simply have no desire to do it.

Agreed, although the "honest" point is kind of moot because they don't ask. But while most of the mass vaccination sites have closed, you can get one basically on-demand at pretty much any CVS or Walgreen's, not to mention medical centers.
I'd say it's a little closer to 25%, but otherwise I agree. That's for indoors, though; outdoors is almost nil. That personally doesn't bother me a ton, and while I still always wear one indoors, I admittedly don't always do it if I'm outdoors when nobody is around. And if I'm running out for five minutes, but get halfway there and realize I forgot my mask, I don't always run back to my place to get one. But otherwise, I figure, why not?

Also, speaking of verification, the rule at most major Strip casinos is that staff have to wear masks unless they've been fully vaccinated, provided proof to HR, and take regular tests. But they definitely do not ask the general public.
