August '24 Group Trip Report - Forget Back to School, it's Back to Vegas!

Rib cap at Barry’s Downtown Prime. Excellent food and service. @MrsIrishDave and I have started splitting meals when we eat out, now we’re just pleasantly full when we’re done and not stuffed!

So yeah, not many gambling pics, cuz nothing worthy. Summary of yesterday's activity: push the button, lose money.

But! We finally crossed paths with @NickPappageorgio and his lovely bride in the Legacy Club!! Completely unplanned, we actually were seated next to them and struck up a conversation. When they mentioned they were in town for their anniversary, it finally clicked with me and I was like, "Hey, aren't you Nick?!" Great views, great drinks, and great folks. Highlight of the trip thus far.







These gold bars reminded me of the golden ticket in the old Wonka three-reel game. Perhaps I have a problem...

Good luck everyone! Always fun bumping into people! No Vegas this month for me, but I do leave for my Croatia/Greece cruise on Tuesday! Praying for lower temps so the big attractions don't close!

And it is the summary of my entire trip, and all the trips in my recent memory.
Don't remember when was last time I cash out a ticket at a ticket redemption machine.

So I guess I should finish it up since I've been home for three days. I suck at post-trip reports and this file too big thing is really annoying, I've had to crop everything even from my desktop, I guess I'm just super sized. But anyway....

Nothing of note after the Legacy Club on Tues. It is a pretty cool space, well worth the visit.

Got up Wed and puttered around a bit and started out with a nice little hit before heading out for lunch.



It was stupid hot out the whole trip, like almost 100 before noon. Really should just stay in the casino, but Nacho Daddy made it worth the walk.





Went back to Circa via The D and Golden Gate. I had a nice FP conversion, $400 FP to $426 real money on bartop blackjack at Bar Canada! Yes, really, bartop blackjack!! Actually it's not completely horrible at Derek's properties. Even money for 21, which sucks, but you can double, split, and surrender, so it kinda works. Especially, since I refused to play any more VP. I got two quads on Mon and Tues combined and while I don't play nearly as much as many folks here, that's just silly, so I swore it off for the trip.

Wandered back to Circa and became a slot degen for the afternoon/evening. That worked out ok!









We ended up even for the day between the two of us on about $10K coin in. That's a win in my book, lots of play for our money.
