We had a fun stay at Circa. The room was very nice and on the opposite side from Fremont, so no noise. Of course, it was super slow, so this week may not have been the best to evaluate the noise factor. Music volume is a bit high in the casino, but not as loud as The D!

I’m not a big fan of the Mega Bar, drinks are on the small side, pay tables are strip-like (or worse), and to me there’s just something off about the atmosphere there. Although the bartender on Monday night gave me very heavy pours. I do like the Overhang Bar a lot, it has (marginally) better VP choices, the blackjack rules are as mentioned above, the drinks are normal size, and the bartenders engage with you a bit more as it’s usually not quite as busy. Also, there’s some full pay BP nearby at 50c. I guess I’m just an upstairs person as I like the 2nd floor at The D better as well.

The gambling wasn’t bad overall. Our loss rate was a little under 10% of coin in, so we got a decent amount of play out of our bankroll, especially considering I didn’t play much VP at all on Wednesday.

Barry’s isn’t quite Bavette’s, but it’s a very good choice, we’ve enjoyed every meal we’ve had there. We ate at Saginaw’s quite a bit this trip and never left hungry, even with splitting all of the meals between the two of us. Good, solid, large sandwiches and comfort food, breakfast isn’t bad either. The management at Saginaw’s must treat their employees right. While you order at the counter, the wait staff brings the food and drinks to you and they are very friendly and attentive. Really pleasent group of people. Between our upfront comps, earned comps, and backend comps, we only paid for taxes and tips on all of our F&B.

Overall we had a really good trip. It was great to finally meet @NickPappageorgio and his better half and the Legacy Club was a cool place to watch the lights come up on the strip. We’ll probably make Circa our downtown base and we’ll definitely give it a try next St Paddy’s Day!

Got my first “win” of my non Vegas trip. I upgraded my leg from CDG-VCE to biz class for 100.00 per seat and AF gave my sky priority on my first segment too! I mean, I wish I could have gotten DFW-CDG leg in biz for the lie flat but a win is a win! I have a 4 hr layover in CDG so this will get me priority through customs and lounge access in CDG which will be so nice

Wish there were slots in all airports lol [IMG]

Not a bad bar though, I hit a Royal there in October 2023. Progressive was just under a hand pay so I was happy.

Although it was not that cheap/easy this time, we still weren't ready to leave yet, so we extended to Friday!

Tring just catching up with things. Did I miss your Trip report as I love reading them as an IPA and VP guy.

To be honest, most of the time you just have somewhere to sleep. :) Most of the time you don't spend too much time in the hotel room, other than at night, and to take day naps to rest up. I've stayed Park MGM with the similar view, The Flamingo with construction out my window (they were demolishing the Imperial Hotel at the time).
