Was playing on the table when it was hit. Quad aces beats quad kings. Loser got 12k. Winner got 6k. I got $890.[IMG]

Congrats TAB! I used to love playing at Tulalip, many a winning session there plus some good tourney results. Is the poker room as busy as it was 8 years ago?

This exact hand was played at Ballys LV about 4 years ago. Loser (4K) didn't know about the bonus. He couldn't understand why people were congratulation him for losing all his money. LOL
4K got about $800,000. 4A got about $500,000. Get this. Everyone playing at every CET casino in LV got $6,000. Took hours to coordinate everything at every casino.
I went to bed at 2am. It hit at 6am.

Nice! You know what I always wondered? What if that 7 was a 10 of clubs and a 3rd player had JQclubs and made the Royal. Who gets shafted, the Kings or the Aces? Lol

Its just nice to say ive been a part of one. Money wasnt too big.
The winner in mine was tired. Only played 4 hands and could care less, it seemed.
The kings because hed only get 890$ . Lol.

Would be awesome if they paid the BBJP with the As as loser and royal as winner, immediately reset the jackpot and paid it again with Ks as loser and As as winner... Imagine having the As in that situation. Will be a cold day in hell that any casino would go with that interpretation I'm sure.

I got lucky and hit one at commerce casino about 10 years ago. I used to go once in a while and play 1-2 or 2-4 limit. Got pocket JJ and a jack came on the flop. Turn was another jack and after capping the raise only one guy left. I barely looked at the board and assumed I had him beat. He rivered and straight flush. I was bummed out but everyone started freaking out. I won 18k!

Wow. The Kings didn't know???? I remember this jumbo jackpot crap on Bravo Poker Live. I guess @Jimbo4fun didn't know either...
That's sick. Hopefully the two "winners" offered a little extra cash to him...
Heavily depends on conditions. The wizard of odds has tried to estimate the chances. But they are based on "no-foldem holdem".

WoO calcs could probably apply to UTH. I remember my one and only royal on UTH, someone else at the table had the Straight Flush.

You both using both hole cards though? That's usually the requirement in poker rooms.

If not using both hole cards, you'd look in the "Type 1" column on the page. Also this page assumes a 10-person table. If there are less players, it's less likely to happen.

If I'm reading that table correctly, if the jackpot is triggered by losing any 4OAK, even using the most liberal rules and assuming no folding, a player would expect to hit the jackpot once every 625k hands? So less than once in a lifetime for a casual player. The odds of someone else having a higher qualifying losing hand in the same hand have to be astronomically small... this is all relative obviously, but at least the jackpot was "only" $18,000 at the time.
