Beauty & Essex Bar Seating

I cant recall if I have seen people eating there or not. Mostly it is a walkway from the entrance to dining room lots of traffic in the area.

They have some small tables and stuff in the area as well but like I said usually see people just having drink.

 

Same; I've been several times but can't recall ever seeing anyone eating there. The bigger problem is the aforementioned traffic -- it's often very difficult to get a seat in the first place. If you really want to eat there, I'd probably just try to make a reservation for one, because it's hit-or-miss whether you'd be able to get a spot.

 

Yeah I would not like eating there even if it was available due to the fact that I would feel like everybody's in my comfort zone area standing around waiting for a table

 

After all these years vacationing in Vegas, I still haven't dinned here. Would you all recommend it?

 

Yes. The food is excellent

 

Yes you can eat at the bar, it’s the full menu. I’ve done it twice, highly recommend the Thai shrimp.

 

I didn’t find it uncomfortable. I guess I’m used to sitting at the bar so it doesn’t bother me.

 

It’s hit or miss. Some nights, it can be very busy for a little while until people get seated, over times, it’s been pretty empty. If you enjoy sitting at a bar for a meal, and don’t mind that it might be loud with lots of people at times, give it a try.

 

Minority opinion here, but I'm not a big fan. In addition to being too loud and overall busy, they're a bit too impressed with themselves -- the first time I went, the hostess came over and started with, "Welcome to Beauty & Essex, where our menu is created by celebrity chef Chris Santos, whose name you may recognize from the television show 'Chopped'." Show, don't tell. It's certainly not bad, but I'd rather do, say, Julian Serrano or Lago.

 

I like their menu they do seem to change up seasonally atleast.

 

I agree about the noise. I like Serrano better, but probably like B&E a little more than Lago

 

That is a bit overboard. When i went, there was none of that, and the service was excellent. Attentive but not overbearing. Food was great.

There wasn't a line waiting when i went, but the restaurant was pretty full. I did make a reservation that day, and it all went pretty smooth.
