Best hotel for getting comped?

    1. What is the easiest hotel to get comped free nights? (Strip only, upper tier hotels like Bellagio, V/P, Wynn, Caesar, Cosmo, Aria)
    2. I want to stay at a villa at least once in my lifetime. Which hotel is best for this, given that I dont want to pay a ridiculous amount of money (like $10k+) and would prefer to get it mostly comped? Of course, I'd have to gamble a lot.
    3. Is it better to pick one hotel and gamble there exclusively, or spread out the gambling and get comps from different hotels?

I havent made a trip to LV for few years, and went back last month.
I stayed at Cosmopolitan for 2 nights, and then a night in Bellagio, a night in Venetian, and 2 nights at Wynn.
I got the rewards card for cosmo and wynn, and I got comped 4 nights at Cosmo (fountain view) no blackout days, and 3 nights at Wynn for weekdays. I'm going again in a couple weeks, and this time I suppose I'll make an Grazie card as well, maybe even MGM and/or CET. Is it better to pick one hotel and gamble there exclusively, or spread out the gambling and get comps from different hotels?

I play about $25-100/hand in bj, $100-500/hand in bac. I'd prefer to play $50-100 on bac, but seems like most casinos in LV dont have low limit bac. Weirdly, Wynn was the one where I had the highest bets ($2k-4k per hand), but I didnt get comped decently.

Personally, I wasnt a fan of Cosmo hotel, but perhaps the fountain view will change my mind.
Wynn was quite nice, as was Venetian and Bellagio (in that order). My gf seems to prefer Wynn and V/P.
I hear Aria is nice, havent stayed there before.

I called V/P to see if they do any matching, turns out they dont.
Any general suggestions would also help

I wish u luck. My buddy has 1100 avg bet at tiles and bacc and doesn’t qualify for villas.

Could be related to how much food and bev he takes though. We hammer it hard when he is in town.

    Welcome to the forums!

All the hotels you mention are the highest-end properties. For a villa at those places.... man I dunno... $5k-$25k a hand minimum? I'm probably estimating low.

Here's a point of reference: $100-$500 a hand at baccarat isn't going to get you comped very much unless you put in a TON of hours gambling. I play that level at blackjack and get only the off-the-shelf corporate offers: 3-4 comped nights in a regular room, and either $50 or $100 in resort credit. No host, nothing special. This is at Bellagio and Aria, pretty high end properties so I'd assume the Wynncore and V/P are similar.

If I were you I'd call the Wynn and Venetian, ask to talk to a host, and be up front about what you want. You can ask the question in two ways:
    1) This is the action I give, what are we talking about in comps?
    2) This the comped stuff I want, what level of action do I need to get it?

Or just forget about the comps. If you can afford to play $2k-$4k a hand at baccarat, just pay for a villa and have the experience of a lifetime (beware that your GF isn't thinking you plan to propose if you aren't! haha) without stressing about getting it comped.

Also, shop around at MGM properties a little bit. If you want a baller room, check into the the Sky Villas or the Mansion at MGM, or the Sky Suites at Aria.

$500 in bac is not close to get villa comped, very far from it.
There are numbers associated with it, but I don't want to dive in to those.
Just as a ball park, if you have a winning session and color up $250,000 then your action might be in the range, which also implies that in a bad run, you lose that much, in a session.

    Appreciate the replies!

1 - Comp room - I was talking about free nights at regular room for getting free comp rooms
2 - Villa - I dont expect any hotel to comp a villa haha, I just wanna get a good deal on it. I'd be ok with paying like $8k instead of $25k
3 - Nobody answered yet (3. Is it better to pick one hotel and gamble there exclusively, or spread out the gambling and get comps from different hotels for getting free comped rooms?)

You seemed to do a lot of moving around? Is that what you foresee yourself doing in the future or do you plan on having a home base?

Also how many nights on average do you see your future trips being?

I feel like there will be differing opinions based on what people do based off of what they want to accomplish.

I gamble mostly at MGM properties since they provide me the most in comps but they provide me the most in comps because that is where the bulk of my gambling is….

But I don’t gamble anywhere without the card because that is just silly :)

Depends on your history with the prop. If u comped a prop you don’t see a future with it’s beneficial imo to low play and start a new relationship with a new place as your inital teaser offer tends to be really good. If u like a place u are at do not split play unless u want base rooms and multiple places. Offers all based on adt (basically what casino thinks they will make off you a day)

If you didn’t like Cosmo, I don’t think having a fountain view room will change that. I love Cosmo, I love a fountain view-but it’s basically the same room.

I had a phase when I was determined to stay in the best room I could justify. Tried to book at Aria and they told me just because I was reserving a Sky Suite Panoramic One Bedroom didn’t mean I’d get that room even though I reserved it. I got miffed and canceled the stay. (My play at Aria is garbage.)

Fairway Villas 1 or 2 bedrooms at Wynn and Mirage Lanai or Villas might be worth looking into but there’s a premium suite team that approves it. Email the concierge-it’s my answer to everything but they can point you in the right direction. Cosmo has 2 bedroom Chelsea tower penthouses that can be booked-if you go to website, put in dates, then use drop down menu to see different categories-like AARP, military, etc it will be at the bottom so you can see rates.

Good luck. I love pics of rooms I’ll never see. Post some pics when you get one.

Average trip duration: 7 days (will be between 4 days to 14). I might go only for weekend going forward though.
Aria Sky suites, Wynn Fairway villas, the mgm mansion, I'll probably try first two. Mansion seems mad impossible haha.

As for normal comp free rooms, I think I'll do 2 night runs on each casino. I'll make sure to post a trip report with what comps I get :D

Focus your play at Aria IMO. You can venture to their other properties and have more options. Spreading your play around will water down your offers so focus where you would like to be. V/P is cheap on hotwire so I wouldn't chase comps there.

My two cents.... If staying in a Villa is that important to you, just pay for it. You're going to spend a lot more chasing comps and will likely never get there. That is unless you are far luckier than I am when it comes to table games. Good luck!

The true villas (Wynn Fairway, Mansion, etc.) typically don't even have a rental rate, as they're only used for hosting big players. Some properties may vary, and depending on your definition of "villa" there are some you can book. For instance, if you consider the sky suites at Aria to be in that category (not talking sky villas obviously) you can book those directly, even if your play doesn't qualify you. The Mirage just made their villas available for booking after 30 years. Even then, you're only going to be able to book them for a fee during dead times. These casinos would rather have a six or seven figure CL player sleeping in that bed than renting the room for 5-20k a night.

It looks like you are already invested in half the higher end properties you wanted to find a comped room at. Both Cosmo and Wynn saw your rated play, and both offered comped rooms already. If you liked those places, reach out to a host or VIP marketing and see if they can get you a discount on a villa.

You are only missing Resorts World, V/P, CET & MGM from the better properties.

Resorts World was matching offers the last time I checked. But not sure if they are handing our suites to new players yet, or how they treat their villas (Rent only or comp only, no in between for discounts)

CET doesn't do well in the villa, or even high end suites categories, for those that dont way over spend IMO. They have so many 7 Star gamblers, and only so many better suites to give out in Vegas. Plus, outside of Caesars Palace, I dont think they have very many ultra suites at the other joints in town.

Venetian/Pallazo has typically been very good with welcome offers to new players. Some drop in gambling there, will get you on the radar fast for a free room and some free play/dining credits. Every room is a "suite" so you wont get stuck in a common resort room at either. Not sure about discounts on the best of the best though.

Leaving us with MGM. Bellagio is nice. So is Aria. Good choices there. MGM DOES discount better suites based on your rated play. This might be more of what you are looking for. Typically I have a nice 2 bedroom suite comped at, say, Mandalay Bay. But that is only good for a free resort room with Fountain View at Bellagio. If I wanted an even better room, I can book the Signature at MGM. But my comp value there, just gets a hefty discount off those suites. Instead of paying $399 a night for a 2 bedroom balcony suite. I just have to pay $89.

And for your last question, it just depends. If you wanted to gamble at all the different MGM casinos on the same day, your play is pulled in aggregate. Same for CET, V/P and Wynn/Encore. You used to draw better comps, when you focused at one casino in the group. If I did all my play at Luxor (just an example) I would still draw corporate offers for everywhere, but I would get casino direct offers better than those for Luxor.

But it hasn't been that way for years now. At least not that I have seen.

If you are dropping seed money, do so all on the same day. Dont drop half your budget Mon and the other half Tues. Make it seem like you are a bigger player.

My most recent trip I requested the Grand Room Suite connected to a regular suite. My host was able to take care of both rooms and about 4k in charges at Cut steakhouse and X-Pot.

I played Baccarat about 6-8 hours a day and each of my session my avg bet was between $1000 to $1800. I obtained 32k tier points this trip.

I noticed for the Grazie Gift promo in Nov they are offering me the executive theater suite. I wish they would offer me more free bet instead.

Thanks for the replies again. Wow, $1-1.8k per hand at 6-8hrs a day is much higher than mine. This trip I played around 300-700/hand and I only play about 2-4 hours a day. I've now given up my goal of trying to stay at a villa. I'm just aiming for free comped nights now.

Stayed again at Cosmo (comped), Wynn (comped), and Venetian (paid ahead but got comped on checkout). I made a grazie card, and got the room comped on my checkout date. I have gotten a new set of offers from cosmo/wynn (5 and 3 nights respectively) but no new offers from Venetian. I made an MGM card as well and played for few hours at the bac table in Bellagio and Aria, but didnt get any offers.
Should I be staying at the resort I'm playing at to get free nights?

I didnt play at Wynn again as it was the 2nd place I was staying at. I'm close to plat for wynn so I'll get a match for CET, get a match for MGM with CET diamond, and should be set for next year. Now, I need to somehow convince my partner on why we should take a 3rd trip to vegas in 3 months...

You don't have to play at the MGM hotel you're staying at in order to get offers. They'll send you offers for all of their hotels all at once. The offers will vary by property, with the lowest ranked hotels having the most generous offers.

MGM generates offers each month. If your stay ends at the beginning of a month, you'll probably get a new offer at the beginning of the next month. If it ends more towards the middle or end of a month, you probably have to wait an extra month.

October offers started showing up on Saturday, It usually takes a couple of days to push them all out. If you don't see anything by the end of Monday, you'll probably have to wait until November 1.
