Booking Marketing Offers Online

    Ugh. This option to be able to book online can not come soon enough for me. I've wasted a bunch of time trying to get an answer via email confirming whether my offer is good for the dates I am thinking of coming. I don't need to book it now I just need to know if I have free rooms on those dates - do you think anyone can answer that in an email???? NOPE. No way around it I have to call them. It is a yes or no question! Ridiculous.

    Usually if you have an offer good for a specific set of dates into the future..it’s a good bet that it’ll “roll-over” to a new(er) offer once that offer has expired...the only caveat to that is if you’ve recently taken a trip...then that “future” offer may change up or down (depending on if you played more or less then your historical average)

    I just returned from a visit and was reminded of this thread when my fellow traveler sent me his gambling stats from m-life's website. I checked cosmo, and sure 'nuff, we still have no functionality on the site. @Cosmo_Slot_Vice_President how's that new website functionality coming along? :)

    I spoke with someone at Cosmo last week who told me the “go live” date is 03/20.

    Will there be any benefits to booking online? The casino VIP phone number is very quick and efficient. Takes less than 5 minutes to setup a trip. Going through the hosts is even faster--a quick email with dates and it's done. Will the website include a comprehensive list of all casino (bounce back, tournaments, giveaways) and ticketing offers as well as Identity club stats and maintenance?

    I hope they make the deadline. Being in the software industry “go live” is a phrase that can cause a lot of heart burn and high blood pressure no matter how well you’ve refined your deployment processes.

    Not only deployment, but being on time for a release has just as much to do, if not more, with proper requirements and user functionality defined up front, ensuring designers and developers testers understand those requirements, and proper testing by developers and a QA team, prior to deployment. Also, hope thry had a good project manager to manager the project, address risks and issues and keep the project on track (time, budget and resources). I hope Cosmo hired a reputable group to do this project.

    This times 1000. So many moving part in every project. So many spots to cut corners and have short cuts. Testing is the one I see cut all the time.

    I agree with this; but usually casinos just contract out and don’t have much control over the process...although Cosmo is different in every way; so let’s hope this too!

    It's definitely worth getting it right the first time. To this day, I call in reservations to Mlife cause I don't trust the website. I simply won't book through their website.

    Yeah, it's obvious MLife rolls out updates without testing.

    I believe Cosmo's team has only been really coding this for about 6 months. One advantage they have is that they only have the single property, they started from scratch instead of having to convert from an existing system, and their offers are not complicated. As long as they were already capturing most or all of the data they needed to make it work, they should be in decent shape (as long as they tested it well).

    Fingers crossed. It will be a great addition. I have a lot of confidence in Kevin.

    If the ease and speed of using offers by phone is any indication (the reps are always great and easily able to find/book the offers), it should be a simple process!

    I normally hate booking things by phone but the Cosmo reps are so consistently good that I don't mind it.

    Any update on this? Sure would be nice to see more than a point total on the Cosmo website. That doesn’t even work for me half the time.

    I’m with you on this. Not only booking offers but being able to see tier progression and maintenance would be nice too. Emailing identity is easy and all but seems like a waste of time for the people answering.

    I was wondering about this update too. I had been reached out and even asked to beta it but have heard nothing for like 2 months. I loved reading all the comments about the dev process, I had no idea so many of my VF compatriots were in the industry too! Nerds unite! :)
