I made Boyd Sapphire for 2022. Barely made the 750 credit points minimum (I had 840 pts) to remain Sapphire so I wasn't sure if they would give me anything of use.

The other week I received my Boyd downtown offers for January and February 2022. 4 free comped nights plus $40 in meal credits (2 $20 credits) so I guess Boyd will be giving me 4 comped nights plus meal credits for 2022 (or most of 2022). In addition they sent me comped offers for slot and VP tournaments in January and February. Unfortunately I am unable to book MSS, somehow the rooms are all taken whenever I try to check on comped nights so guess I will be staying at the Cal in 2022.

No matter because I refuse to play on $15 crap tables, prefer $5 minimum tables so will probably play craps elsewhere (Jerrys Nugget).

I just hope that Boyd gives me enough carryover credits so I can reach Sapphire for 2023. But like I said before, I will stay at Boyd downtown as long as they give me comped nights, otherwise I will probably stay somewhere else.

I will be in vegas in a little over 3 weeks, will be staying at the Cal for the CES.

Funny I have not gotten offers for the last three months. Not sure if it is cause I have not stayed there in a while, or I had one day of less than avg play in June? At my local my play has pretty much stayed the same but Boyd never takes that into account which is dumb.

I just today emailed a host from VP2Free to see if they will comp me a few nights. If not then Golden Gate it is. Not preferable but I am alone and will survive.

How many tier credit points do you have? If you qualify for emerald or sapphire you may still qualify for comped nights. Did you log onto the BeConned site recently? I last went to vegas in August to qualify for sapphire and even though I wasn't receiving mailers, when I logged onto the site I was still getting comped nights at some hotels like Gold Coast but not other hotels like MSS and Cal. When I logged on in November I found that they are now offering me comped nights at the Cal.

Anyway, hope that a host at a Boyd property can give you comped nights. If not, then screw them, lol.

    Almost 3900 TCs.

Yeah when I log in I don't have any comped nights at any downtown props.

    Update,

Host got back and put me in for 3 night. I'll still put in play at Stevens properties of course but the Cal is so much better than GG. And last Boyd coin dropper VP too.

You have close to 3900 tier credits for 2021 but no comped nights for 2022? Very strange since I only have about 800 tc's for 2021 and got 4 comped nights. I wonder what's up with Boyd. Or maybe they are throwing me a bone by giving me comped nights and free food with the hope that I put in enough play in 2022 to warrant the comps. Good luck with that, I will probably play just enough to reach the 750 tier credits in 2022 but since I usually go to vegas only twice a year it will be hard to get enough play to reach emerald status.

Glad that you got at least 3 comped nights, hopefully you get in enough play for them to send you mailers for more comped nights.

Hmmm, my home casino was MSS a couple of years ago but it seems after the pandemic my home casino is now the Cal. Because of that I seem to get comps for the Cal. I get comps for MSS but I can never book a room at MSS so far (except at higher non boyd member rates). I just checked the other boyd casinos. I can get comped nights at the Gold Coast and Sam's town but no comped nights at Fremont, Orleans and the other outlying Boyd hotels.

Yeah, I fear it is only a matter of time before they cut off my comps so I will probably try to milk my comps for 2022 and hope they continue to give me comps for 2023, otherwise I will stay and play elsewhere.

I think part of it is how they do comps. When I was out in June I played at the Cal and Fremont but obviously my ADT was lower than normal cause I didn't stay there. They seem to send offers based on the "region" you play at. I never get offers for Orleans for example because I don't play there.

Most of my TCs have come from Blue Chip in Indiana. that's where I get offers from. Once I didn't have offers there cause of my pandemic absence and a host told me it was due to me not playing there over a long period of time, she did give me a room though.

Either way I'm glad he took care of me and I'm glad I don't have to stay at GG. It's not awful but the rooms are just too small for me even being solo. Plus I have like $150 in Bconnected pts for food and I really want to go to Redwood.
