I got to play it at Tampa Hard Rock this morning and can definitely say that they have a winner. A machine that mixes buffalo with dragon link and also has a random bonus. While I wasn't a winner on it, my sister and niece were as well as three others on the bank of 6.

I sure hope that it is in Vegas by the 13th.

It's already atbsome of the downtown casinos. Should be on the strip shortly I'd imagine, if it's not already.

These will become very very popular - as did Dragon Cash and Dragon Link with they first came out. Heck the latter 2 are still popular :)

I agree. Doesn't look like a game I'd be excited to play.

The buffalo counter changes by denom but is one of those "must hit by counters" - on this machine it says the random bonus must be given before it hits 1800 buffalos.

The game is really cool - just think of it as buffalo and dragon/lightning link on the same game with a random bonus thrown in. It really seems to be inclined to give you the link bonus within the buffalo bonus.

The game mechanics look fine, maybe even good, but the graphics are HIDEOUS.

I thought the same after seeing a video but they really aren't hideous after the first few in-person spins. The arrows for each buffalo during hold and spin counting are very cool graphics and the coins are very crisp as well. No clue why they didn't stick with the standard buffalo but as I said, the game's graphics are not a detriment once you've played it for a few minutes. Hard Rock has 32 of them and there's always people on the ones that I've seen.

I think Buffalo Link is a horrible game and it should flop hard. The first few days it was out at Red Rock there were no seats available, but fast forward a few weeks later and it's hardly getting played. I gave it a try myself -- base game hardly pays out anything. When I got my free feature, I ended up receiving 8 free spins, which paid a grand total of...

    45 cents.

It seems like that in their effort to force in a 5th reel wild and the Hold & Spin feature that makes all their other Link games popular, Aristocrat had to go overboard with cutting down on the main game pays to help pay for all those bonuses and jackpots. I can't see myself playing this game again unless there's a counter over 1600.

Buffalo, all of its variants, is a game that you either love or hate. For those of us who have logged 100s or thousands of hours on them, the bonuses are often really bad but it is the > 1000X hits that keep us playing them. I have witnessed by brother-in-law getting two 968X line hits on Jackpots within an hour. I have also gotten many many bonuses and line hits between 500-1000x.

Both my niece and I got 100X bonuses in limited play on Buffalo LInk the other day.

The good news is that the casinos are full of different machines to please everyone's preference. It would be a boring casino if there was 2,000 of the same machine for everyone to play.

I've grown tired of Lightning Link and it's a rarity I play it. I'll sometimes give a Buffalo a go, but not too much. Had one good hit on Diamond but usually don't get much out of them.

Lucky the places I play, as Silver says, have tons of variety.

If the free games are loaded I’ll give Buffalo diamonds a go. Hit for $750 on $1.60 bet back in March. Otherwise I usually just play old old school Buffalo. The wonder 4, gold, revolution or whatever….I hardly play. Variance on all of them is pretty brutal.

Played for first time this weekend. Within a few spins at 2x had a $100 buffalo link bonus. Several hundred later had a few free spin bonus and other link bonuses for under $40. Finally at around 1700 on the meter, it gave the "must hit by" bonus which is the link bonus with 0 spots filled in. It was quite disappointing and definitely a money suck. As with all buffalo games, yes others were getting hand pays but the added "must hit by" really makes you want to stick around to see what it will do just to regret it.

I am sure I will play it again at some point but first outing was a downer.

I totally don't play any game for the "must hit by". I've gotten the bonus on Buffalo Link when the must hit by was < 500. And this was limited play. Do I like it more than Boost, Tall Fortunes, Spinning Fortunes? No - I prefer those variants. I think that Buffalo diamond is a money suck but did get my first ever handpay on it so I'll always give it a try to get 78 free spins at 4X :)
