My parents went to Vegas this past August/September and tried to go to a buffet at Sam's Town for breakfast but it was closed.

apparently a friend said buffet's are becoming a thing of the past in Vegas.
    Hmm.

Any buffet's still open that is worth going to?

Wynn, Caesars, Cosmo, maybe Palms. Budget location: South Point.

Do not waste your $ at the Bellagio.

Not what it once was. Main Street station is maybe the closest thing off top of my head to an old school affordable buffet. The typical strip ones are 50+

IMHO, buffets are only worth it if you can get BOGO. 50.00+ on a Vegas buffet where the food is probably MID at best is expensive. You can eat decent at a restaurant for that price. But if you could get one for 25.00 or close to it, that's a decent deal.

I personally don't do buffets often in Vegas because I just end up putting a bunch of stuff on my plate that doesn't go together, isn't too good, and I have food allergies which is just a nightmare when it comes to buffets. Cosmo is the best for food allergies and I've had a BAD reaction there even after having the chef go through all the dishes with me. Just not something I do these days.

I really enjoy the Wicked Spoon, but without the 2for1 I’m not sure how often I would’ve gone. As for a buffet that is no longer here, M Resort. Got to eat it one. Was excellent and a decent value. Too bad it’s gone.

Caesars used to have an all day, 24 hour, buffet pass. LOL!

We used to eat at the Village Buffet many moons ago when we started visiting Vegas.

M and I did that on our first trip to Vegas together. We waited almost an hour for the Rio buffet on a weekday. How times have changed...

Here's a sign in the Rio parking garage in August 2023. You know CET really didn't give a fuck about the place with this picture in the end.

MGM did too. On one of our guys trips we did the 24hr pass. The one and only time I’ve had the Excalibur buffet.

Hope you didn't get food poisoning at Excalibur like we did! Ugh. And sadly the food tasted pretty good for the price!

Just remember having a very basic breakfast. Like eggs and toast. Believe I was hung over haha

21 years this past July my honorary niece got married in the Chapel at Excalibur. The dinner after was upstairs. There I had the best prime rib I've ever had. I guess I can stop dreaming about it now. Sounds like it's gone down hill.
