What a wonderful read, thank you!! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip, even tho the wins weren't what you had hoped for

I'm biting my nails with worry... so many lines, so many people, so many flight snafus, ugh! We shall see what we shall see, I suppose. Best of luck in August, in advance!

Nice report! Sorry we weren't able to meet up. Considering how late you woke up on Tuesday morning, I don't know if I could have pulled off the "reverse niteshade"! I think I was in bed by 6 am every night of our trip. Usually I break that at least one night!

Thanks so much for all of you that had nice thoughts to share.

Please don't worry about going. I only wanted you "peeps" to know - make those reservations!
If you plan it out - it is a breeze. If not - it sort of reminded me of the Strip on New Year's Eve!

Even though I lost the lint in my pockets even - I had a blast being there. I had things planned
out and had no stress in that regard at all. I was able to avoid any "line standing" and just breezed
on by. I imagine other places might be better prepared for guests than what I saw, but in fairness, after
speaking to some of the real folks " in the know" - they are trying. They absolutely cannot get enough
workers. People don't apply or don't pass muster.

Those that were working in the restaurants that I came into contact with - were excellent. I was a single
diner this trip and never had one place make me feel out of place or tried to stash me in a corner. They were
cheerful, happy to be there, and I experienced excellent service. There are a couple of servers at Hexx that
I have now had more than once, and they are great. Fast, efficient, pleasant and the food was good.

Strip House was also a good experience. I adore Scott - he is great and the seating hostess is
    always nice.

Also - I might have been lucky, but I didn't run into anyone that wasn't happy or cheerful. I saw
none of the bad stuff people have posted about - I guess maybe I had on "blinders" but I conversed
with loads of strangers this trip and they were all cool. Young or old, rich or poor looking - everyone
was pleasant - even those poor folks stuck in long lines looked happy.

I admit - I sort of "went off the rails" in the gambling department this trip and didn't wander around nearly
as much as I usually do - so I only saw a small standard, but I just wanted people to know - plan ahead
and you will be fine and have a stress-free trip.

Also - I love my coffee, but I will not stand in line for it and I love to have some in my room when
I get up and take my leisurely time before I shower and get dressed. If you have a travel pot - take it.
It was so wonderful to have all the coffee I wanted before venturing out and about. I imagine the coffee
lines everywhere were murder. Not just at Paris.

When I did venture down - I was relaxed, well hydrated with both coffee and water, and ready to roll.

I am seriously going to try to do better posting this next trip. Sometimes I get zoned when I am playing, but
now that I have had my first real "stab" at it this year-I think I can contain myself better LOL.

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes -it was a great way to spend it. Good luck to all and I hope you all
have wonderful trips. I love reading all your reports and seeing the pictures.

Yes - I have stayed in that room consistently for about 5 years now. I love it. It has a guest bathroom -
before all this stuff started - I used to have friends up for visits and they have their own bathroom and don't have
to troop through my bedroom. They usually stay somewhere else and come over some and play and when
we get tired of the crowds and stuff - head to the room and visit. The living room is big and the best thing
about it - there are only 2 like it in Paris that have no other rooms next door. It is totally quiet. One faces the
Strip and one the mountains. I prefer the mountain view, no noise at all. I love to go up and nap and don't hear
anything and when I do want to sleep at night it is dead quiet. I live out on a farm and I hate noise at night.

It is also nice because of the housekeeping staff on that floor - they spoil me. The girls always have
it ready for me when I get there early and I can clean up and take my time unpacking then head out.
It is really nice. It is like my nest!

Hubs and I have had that same room twice in the last few years. I like the Mountain View as well. In February our host had us in the Giverney Suite at the end of that same hallway, it was bad ass. We got there the Friday of snowmaggeddon week in Texas and hubby had to work from the room Monday. His phone started ringing at 5:15 it was nice that he could close the doors to the bedroom and let me sleep while he worked in the bar/dining area.

If I didn't have animals that had to be taken care of - I would have escaped to Vegas too!! What a great way to spend that
horrible time. Brrrr - I still get cold thinking about that week from hell.
Glad you could miss the worst of it in a fantastic suite in our special place - Vegas!

Oh no, we were home for the whole mess! We escaped Friday as things thawed out! The toll road to the airport was still icy in spots but we didn’t have any issues flying out that afternoon on a 5 p.m. flight. Had our flight been before noon, I’m afraid we would have not made it out.

Thanks for taking us along on your birthday trip, and...belated birthday wishes. After a very frustrating first leg of the journey, you made it "home," and that's what counts, after all. You had me laughing at some of your descriptions -- the guy behind you with his munchkin voice, the limo driver.... I just love it when you arrive at the hotel and they recognize and value you as a regular. Your trip report, as so many recently, highlights how important it is to have those dining reservations -- I think until staffing returns to something resembling normal levels, it won't be easy to just pick up something to eat on a whim without standing in a long line. Like you, I don't do lines. A wonderful report!
