Screenshot_2019-10-08-09-48-17-556_com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.mail.png I received an email from CET stating that they will start having 2 additional levels of Diamond status. The Diamond Plus does not really have additional benefits, but the Diamond Elite will have $600 airfare credit to Las Vegas. I guess the Diamond Plus card will give you sense of prestige, nothing more since you are already getting free entry to the Diamond/Laurel Lounge anyway. It is a good change for those who can earn 75,000 teir credits. My husband had 25,000 tier point last year, not sure if we want to try to get to that level again since it is cheaper to pay to enter Diamond/Laurel Lounge than to lose thousands of dollars. I would like to see what you guys think about these changes.

Looks like Diamond ASSpirations is back with less comp value then before. You can count on CET cutting benefits to Diamond card holders with two new card status. My guess is no more diamond lounge access unless your a Diamond Plus. Hence the name change this year to the lounge, Note its no longer the "Diamond Lounge" its the Laurel Lounge.

That's an easy way just by branding to begin disassociating the benefit to the Tier Status.

I have never seen CET upgrade benefits with program changes.

They've also discontinued linked accounts...which I never used anyways, but I know that's a pretty common practice

Diamond with less than 25000 tier can still use their reward points to go in this year, but you are right that they might change it next year. Funny thing is some Laurel Lounge is not that strict in checking your Diamond Card. Harrah's Lake Tahoe didn't check our card the two times we went in, even the non-diamond could have sneak in the first time we went in, there was nobody at the door. We are 5000 tier points from 25,000 tier points this year, not sure if we want to try for it. It costed us thousands to get the 25,000 tier points last year, might as well pay the reward points to get in unless they do away with that too. Maybe we just wont go to the lounge any more since we don't even order liquor anyway, we can eat pretty well with thousands of dollars at any steak house.
In a way, I would not be surprise that won't let low diamond to enter Diamond Lounge, they have done too many diamond status match and they are still doing it, but it is not fair for the Diamond members who earned it the hard way.

I didn't know that they allowed link accounts, I usually use my husband card most of the time. I got my own diamond one year and continued with the status for years by charging $5000 in set time limit on my Caesars Reward Visa card each year. But I would have to pay for lounge entry with my card unless I go in with my husband. I maintain my Diamond card so I can take my son or my sister to Veges with no resort fee.
I just found out that the Wynn Slot app gives me two scratchers after I completed an event and I got 24,000,000 with my last one. Thank you very much Goldenknight for the tips, I have completed 2 events doing the Hong Bao hyper bonus already. I couldn't complete a 6 hour event, now I can complete it in one hour and not losing any coins.

Below that line is: Miss Out!
It is because I need to scroll down to show more important info before I did a print screen.
That is more like a downgrade of benefits than upgrade if it really require Diamond Plus to enter Laurel Lounge. So that is not something we would like to see. Very unfair to Diamond member who earned 15,000 tier points to obtain the Diamond status.

Oh I know. I just found it funny how it said "don't" which I agree. The benefits aren't worth it. Better to get a higher tier at another destination.

you know what I find interesting? I am a 7 stars, and if it wasn't for this post, I would never have known about the $600 airfare after reaching 80,000 points. Still have not heard anything from my host about this. hmmmmm

I also remember reading a while ago that they will be moving to a rolling date, where your earning date and expiration date will now be based upon when you
actually made that status. Translation you will be losing extra months of benefits.

The old system. I earned diamond in July 2018, my diamond status was in effect thru Jan 31 2019.
New System, I earned Diamond in July 2019, now will expire in July 2020.

I am basing this on an email I received and linked information on their website.

    WE'VE UPGRADED OUR SYSTEM PROCESS
Effective September 24, 2019, we will be upgrading our system process to update Tier Status expiration dates.

Moving forward, the expiration date reflected in your account will be the actual date your Tier Status is due to expire. Make sure you continue to earn enough Tier Credits each calendar year to maintain your Tier Status for the following year.

See below for full program details, also they changed wording on matched status length.

That's not how I'm reading the change.

    As per your link above:

Why did my expiration date not change?

Your Tier Status expiration date was only updated if you have earned the necessary Tier Credits so far this calendar year to qualify you for Tier Status through January 31, 2021.

For example: If your current Tier Score is at least 15,000, then your Tier Status should be Diamond until January 31, 2021. However, if you are currently Diamond based on earning at least 15,000 Tier Credits in 2018 and your current Tier Score is 5,000, then you will be Diamond until January 31, 2020 and at that point assigned Platinum Status until January 31, 2021. If you continue earning and reach at least 15,000 Tier Credits during 2019, then your expiration date for your Diamond status will update to January 31, 2021.

I'm 7* and the link indicates( as it has always been), that my renewal be reviewed. I have the necessary Tier Credits to remain 7*. I don't expect to see the expiry date change until after Feb 1.
Maybe someone that is currently Diamond and has earned Diamond for next year can chime in and let us know if their expiry date reads January 31, 2020 or 2021. The link would make me believe that the change CET put in place would make Diamonds that have renewed this year have an expiry of 2021 right now. Not 2020. Whether or not it would indicate the premium levels, I doubt it. Those level don't exits until next year.

My husband has been Diamond for many years, and made Diamond again in April this year, the expiration date on his account says January 31st, 2021.

That's consistent with the info in the link. Prior to the change, it would have said expiration is January 31, 2020. The 2021 date reflects that he's earned enough TCs in this calendar year.

    Thank you for the info!

I'm interested to see what happens next year as the players club merges with El Dorado's. Hopefully, we get another actual tier between diamond and seven stars. CET only has 4 tiers, but El Dorado has 5.

Well CET is actually turning what used to be informal Tiers into new card Tiers with Diamond Plus & Diamond Elite Cards.
Just not adding much in terms of benefits. To me its just the continued devaluation of the program.

Diamond is worth it for the Vegas free room, parking, and resort fee benefits. Not to mention the first in line privileges. If they took
those from the program that would be a deal killer for me, since that's the only reason I pursue the Tier.

While lounge access is nice, nothing about that benefit is worth $50K extra in coin in.

I think for the next year I have to qualify, I won't be going for diamond plus. AFAIK the lounges outside of AC isn't really worth a visit and definitely isn't worth the extra coin-in at VP.

Sigh, if only there was a caesars property closer to home.

It is too bad that they have the same rules for all Diamond/Laurel Lounges, the quality can vary widely. The Laurel Lounge at Hurrahs Southern California is definitely not worth paying 1000 reward points to get in, no free alcoholic drink and only one item of hot appetizer, some fruits, chips and pop corns. The ones in Lake Tahoe are not good either. I like the one at Paris, and I heard the one at AC are very good.

Personally I don't know why anyone would bother "paying" RC to visit Laurel lounges in markets where by law alcohol can't be comped; surely the paltry amount of salad and appetizer is not worth the entry price.

The AC lounge is amazing, sit down service with a server and everything. I heard the 7* lounges are even better, unfortunately, I couldn't get in.

If any 7* are reading this, and don't mind me riding your coattails to get benefits, please PM me
