Especially with no food or drinks, I agree. I always used the VIP or Invited Guest line at Aria, because I was MLife Platinum, but they never asked to see my card to let me in the line. I'm sure I was coded that way in the system, but it's not like they could have known that when I got in line. But then again, I always found myself waiting longer in that line than I probably would have in the main one, because for some reason I'm eternally behind a fussy guest.

I few times , about 30%, ive been asked if i was platinum. And there have been times that the wait has been excruciatingly long. So much so, that we got the expeditor to put us in the cue for regular customers.

In August it was very busy, the check in lines were full, but we walked right up to invited guest with no wait or issues and got checked in very rapidly, they never asked about the card status.

The crowd was back to the normal, high class crowd, except for me ;) It was busy, but service throughout the resort was excellent. I had a fantastic experience in August. Only complaints would be decreased availability of premium alcohol options at bars and comps falling off a cliff for me after October.

I booked a bunch of casino rate nights due to the low rates to supplement my few remaining comp nights.

It feels to me a lot like the 2010 Debacle when Venetian/Palazzo gutted the comps and paytables. I would speculate these things run in cycles, they may be focusing on convention business and cost controls. Eventually things will swing back the other way. Until then I'm minimizing play.

To clarify, the "Invited Guest Check-In" is just a separate line at the front desk at both Palazzo and Venetian. At the Palazzo, it is to the left side, and usually has two or three agents. The nice thing is if you are waiting in that line, the person directing people to front desk agents will pull people from the Invited Guest Check In line first, so your wait is always minimal.

It is not a separate room. (I am not familiar with that, as my play level is not that high up.) So if there is/was a VIP check in room that used to serve refreshments, this is not what I am referring to. For the people that had the experience where they were turned away, can you clarify where you were trying to check in?

Its thru the door on the far end of of High Limit slots at Palazzo. I used to play video poker in there while awaiting the arrival of higher level royalty.

I couldn’t agree more. They’ve done the same to me, and I am Paiza Gold. Offers are pretty much toast. Fortunately, on my last Palazzo trip I happened to walk through the Wynn and saw some recently added Interblock Craps machines. I played some on them and got a pretty decent offer from them within a week (3 nights, $600 resort credit). I took advantage of that offer last weekend, and I realized that I had forgotten how great a property it is. Already booked another offer for a tournament in November there. Looks like I’ll be moving across the street until V/P decides they want players again.

Yep Paiza Gold here as well. And to me the most telling thing is my last trip, they comped about $2,000 back end. So obviously my play way more than covered the room and freeplay if I'm getting that much additional back end. Theo was sufficient. So it must have been time and win disqualifying me from future offers (or more likely the overall strategy change).

To be honest, I'm actually glad they are doing this. I've got 18 nights (6 comped/8 $109ish casino rate/4 credit card points) in booked stays @ Palazzo between Oct and Feb and I'm not looking to play that much anyway. Please give me an excuse NOT to give you cockgobblers your money back. I wouldn't be going to Vegas at all with the masks back, except for the fact it's too cold to play much golf and maintain my tan in Chicago by Oct and Phoenix has overseed so the golf isn't good that month. So I'm in golf and pool purgatory for October in Vegas. :)

Anyone know if the Palazzo resort fee includes the fitness center? On the casino rate days I'm dinged the resort fee, so would prob use the gym if I'm forced to pay that. I see it is $75/$100 for a day pass for resort guests, but maybe that is spa facilities, not gym.

Gym is always included in resort fees at V/P. The fee for guests is if they don't pay the resort fee

If you don't mind sharing, can you estimate your coin-in for the craps machines? I put through 70K on a combo of craps/VP a few months ago and haven't gotten anything close to that kind of offer.

My host got me a grand room for 10/20-10/24 comp 800 freeplay and 450 dining and a 2nd room at casino rate. Then I requested for the prestige upgrade. Does that mean I check-in on the 23rd floor?

I only did about $40K coin in on the machine, at a fairly high average bet of around $600. I was literally just walking through and happened to see it. I do have a history there, but hadn't played in several years. I did over $100K coin in when I actually used the offer. But I think it was based on the $40K craps play, because they haven't sent me an offer in at least 3-4 years, but may have also had something to do with my history. Previous history is mostly blackjack, like probably $700 average bet. But again that play is probably 5 years old.

No, it just means you get access to the prestige lounge on the 23rd floor during your stay. But you won't even be able to get up there until after you check in, you have to have a room key just to get the to elevator. You most likely have VIP check in. Don't confuse that with the "invited guest" check in. Facing the Palazzo front desk, if you look to the right you'll see two very tall doors. That's where VIP is. If you only have invited guest check in, that is at a desk off to the left of the front desk. It faces the VIP check in on the other side. You can confirm whether or not you have VIP check in by asking your host or calling room reservations. Your reservation will have been coded for it if so.

If your coded to Prestige just proceed to the elevators and tell security that you are checking in at Prestige. They have a list of all guest. They will ask for your last name. No need to stop in the lobby to check in.

Great thanks for the info. I have stayed at palazzo a couple of times but 1st time requesting prestige. I have the gold card so I assume I can check in via invited guest too.
