On the topic of Grazie Club changes...my host told me last night the reason the transportation was removed from benefit list was to stop people that don't play from getting a car. In other words, those who qualify for platinum by having extraordinary restaurant bills and some shopping, etc where the casino doesn't make as much money from you then you can get your own transportation. That wasn't the direct quote, but reading between the lines the car is still available to players and many upcoming offers could have it built in the offers.

This is the first year getting to platinum, but we never had an issue getting a car covered if we truly wanted one.

Ha! Also my first year of platinum and they take the car---but tbh, I always just ordered my own car its cheap BUT I really like that reserved pool seating! Very curious to see how that works---I'll def be using that in early April and will report back!

Is it cheaper if you book it through the hotel?

I also use Presidential (now part of Kaptyn), but generally speaking, few things are cheaper if you book through the hotel.

Agreed, but I usually just book through the hotel just for the chance it will be taken off my bill.

On phone with Venetian concierge right now---total train wreck--they have zero clue about the reserved pool seating and not set up yet to offer it but are aware it is a listed benefit.

This call is the least confidence inspiring possible for the Grazie changes. Boooooo. I'll prob just get a shitty Palazzo cabana for now til they get their shit together. I told her looking for Saturday, April 3rd, she said "I'm sorry we don't open until March 5th". Uh. Huh?

This lady is telling me their biggest concern right now is hoping for increased occupancy as soon as possible. Um......ooooook. But what does that have to do with my pool day???? I think this chick pulled an all-nighter at her second job at Frank's Tiki Lounge or something.

I almost want to switch to Wynn just out of spite. But Venetian is better suited as I have 3 people in the room. Grrrrrr.

    ***UPDATE***

So after a brief hold where I ranted above, they came back on and were VERY helpful! I am getting a call back soon after they check with pool management on the new benefit as they are getting other inquiries besides mine with the pool opening in a couple weeks. I ended up booking a venetian daybed, $750--all food and bev credit--which will be fantastic. It is Final Four Saturday so prices are high, but not worth doing something bigger than a day bed with only 3 and pools closing after the first game. I'll go early and grab the corner cabana on the back end of the long pool from where we can see both the plunge pool cabana TV and the bar TVs from the other end of the pool. Should be perfect! Then depending on weather we can head in to change and watch second game at the bar between the two games or at halftime of the second game! BOOM BABY!!!!

Sounds they are running a skeletal crew. Good thing you take you're planning seriously!
Nomad is where we are staying in early April and their pool is not open yet so my host just called me tonight to book the Park Cabana said everything's booking out so we're going to secure that and then switch to Nomad should they open. I really don't care I just want to place to grab some sun and have a cocktail waitress on hand. What I don't want is bunch of little kids running around .....this should be interesting.
