    Today's gambling:
    Left room with $600
    Came back with $817
    Up $217 for the trip

I really tried to emulate what you guys do. I screwed up a couple of times and probably should have ended with a bit more. I did get lucky with some premium VP quads late in the evening.

Tip of the cap to you guys for being a good role model for me.

Might submit of full post trip report next week.

Just saw this! Hey, we admire you for trying and it looks like it worked for the most part. Losing $6 is definitely keeping it under control. We’ve had a ton of trips where we ended with $50-80 up. Small, but way better than a big loss. If we didn’t manage our money like this, no way we could visit Vegas so often. Thanks for sharing!

On my first night I was up by maybe $10 or $25 on a couple of slots after a small bonus or good line hit. My little voice was saying, "April and Ron would cash out and move on." I was kicking myself for not listening because I put it all back both times. I mostly play VP, and when I'd get a premium 4 of a kind early on, I'd cash out and walk, even if I'd only been on the machine for 5 or 10 minutes. Managing things similar to what you guys do really worked well for me, but I know it's not for everyone.

Exactly! The small wins do add up. We’ve thought about raising our “kept wins” to $20 and higher, instead of $10, but we would not have nearly as many winning trips. Yes, it limits your play to less hours. For us it’s worth it because our budget remains intact for future trips.
Like you said, it’s not for everyone. Glad you tried it!
