Nice chips! And hear you on the design. I'm lucky to have my chips in a stack when playing poker.

Well it depends... if you started with $100k then that would actually hurt :)

    Exactly.

I love it when I cash out for 75k and the cashier says congratulations! After dropping 125k.

Baby due next month. Couldn't swing a Vegas trip and risk missing anything. About an hour at my local, in for $100, out for $141,870. 100x$1,000 after tax and tip. [IMG][IMG]

Wow, congrats on multiple things!!! Good timing not to go to Vegas!

How long did it take for them to approve it and pay you?

Took about an hour. They paid the other players and cleared every hand except mine so they could verify the deck. Called in what seemed like 4 bosses to hover around the table. Had to sign a few forms, but before I knew it the table was getting a fill with stacks of orange!

Yeah so I always grab my cards, throw the top and bottom on the table, flip the middle 5 and sweat the draws. Flipped 23456 and was pumped about the $100 for the straight flush. Wasn't until I peeled the Ah did I even think of the seven card sf. Whole table and boss watched me quick flip the 7h and whole place went crazy. Jackpot hadn't been hit in over a year!

Congrats! You potentially missed out on your basic bet by not playing the A-7 up ;). I typically grab the top 5 and look at them then sweat the last two cards. When I hit 5 aces, I had 3 plus the joker in the first 5 cards, and just put the cards back down and asked for a 'house way' button and let the dealer flip them. First card when she turned them over was the last ace.

I like that strategy! Same with getting a double down face down, its extra sweat and entertainment for your dollar.

I should specify this was face-up pai gow, so it didnt matter how I set my hand because any combination I came up with couldn't win, couldn't lose, and couldn't foul.

Side question, so I won $141k or $100k after tax. How much was appropriate tip? I gave the dealer $1k to make my check and even 100k but is that too low? Dealers split tips.
