Yes, I was allowed to go up to 3 spots @ $15K. I decided to try flat betting, because the night before I left for that trip, I was practicing, dealing 2 spots of bj to myself for a few hours as a warm up for Vegas, and got up 120 units. Had I repeated that performance at the real table, I'd have been up $1.8m. Instead, I lost instantly lol.

Are you doing well overall at these levels?

Amazing run! Probably one of the craziest runs I have ever heard of. All BJ?

Just be very careful. BJ can snap back on you, harder and faster than you could possibly believe. It's a very high variance game, as I'm sure you're aware.

I nearly got nuked out a few times - if you look through my post history, you'll see a few of those "1 loss and i call it a year" threshold ones.
    I've done the -/+ 1.3M. a few times.

Just one of my multiple front money redeposits on my way to successfully winning back my donked off 2.1M (off of a 2.4M win at that point in time) at Borgata[IMG]

Don’t know any 10k chips. Borgata was originally a joint venture with Boyd and they wanted to be different and did 20k chips. Almost all of the chips at Borgata are from the original opening. It’s not the usual clay variety, they’re more glossy, and an absolute pain. But yes, one of the only properties to have a 20k instead of a 25k chip.

They also have 100k plaques, but have only seen those out one time.

yeah i had a brain fart
    not 10k chips
    $5k to $25k

i'm very familiar with the Borgata chips. of course, not with the $1k, $5k, $20k chips ... just the smaller denom
they have a good weight and feel to them. a very different sound from other casino chips
but they can stick together from the static(?)

I used to think that little metal ring was magnetic, and that’s why they were always sticking, but I think it has something to do with the surface friction and there ends up as suction between them. They have some test chips (mainly $1 and $5) that you’ll see periodically that have a little pattern in the surface, it was a trial run to see if they could eliminate the stickiness.

it’s the worst for poker players, these are the hardest chips to shuffle.

You say that, but is it really possible to loathe something that you want more and more of and don’t want to give back?

Oh - i always give those back - to the cage cashier. haha
Also - they have a few broken ass $20k's - literally fractured chips that they taped up and recycle out to the table over and over again.

That sounds about right. Each 20k is also individually serial numbered if you look closely.

haha yeah - i noticed. really though, the denom + slippery-ness of the chips.. just ugh - made me misbet when i'm dealing with 25k's at other places and vice versa.

The $1k chips are sometimes called tigers because of the orange with black stripes, the $5k have no name (they switched to the gray/pink combo a year ago, it was gray/orange before), and they call the 20k mustards, because I guess it looks like Grey Poupon?

They truly are my least favorite chips, but they haven’t replaced them in 20 years, so it’s one expense they haven’t had to incur.
