I guess it's been a while since i was in vegas and knew about the boulevard suites but the Reserve is new to me. Any of you played there, checked out our or even knew it was there? I assume it's like the sky casino at encore which I have visited a few times. Didn't do anything for me at all though. Very blase.
Here is a little story i just came across. Interesting for some..

Aware of it, will never see it, lol. I recall Nate writing a year or two ago about being denied access to it because his CL wasn't sufficient (which seems insane). When it first opened, my host told me a few details about it, but none of them were every interesting

Maltesers are awesome and I too would steal Oribe shampoo by the bagful if given any access at all.

Thanks for posting the link, but clearly have no info about the Reserve.

Exactly, my understanding is that it's for people who want to gamble as privately as possible. And not that I'm anywhere in the vicinity of the vicinity of that level of gambling, but it just doesn't seem fun to me. The whole point of Vegas is to have a good time, and I find it difficult to do that when sitting by myself in a quiet (albeit nicely-appointed) and isolated room.

I remember that about nate. So ridic.. What kind of degen would wavy to play there by themselves anyway. You really can't treat it as a business thinking you can actually win or you would need privacy to concentrate on your next move or strategy. It's like being in solitary confinement as your losing millions..
Now taking 5 or 10 if your friends up there to party and gamble for fun with really high stakes (over a million each) is another story.
Non issue for us hope cosmo has bad luck with it not the consumer.

I have to assume many of the folks just don't want people gathering around watching them play hands for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Not wanting to show what sort of wealth they're dealing with etc.

I largely agree though, probably not a ton of fun that way. I'd much rather be at a table with friends.

I can understand this in theory, but having been in plenty of high limit rooms over the years, I can't remember a time when there was a significant number of true spectators. I've stood around with people placing 4- and 5-figure bets, but those were friends who invited me in; I can't think of any time when there were more than one or two random people (at most) there watching. It strikes me as a solution in search of a problem. But hey, if there are people who want to play that way, more power to them, I'll be the last person to tell someone they shouldn't gamble the way they find most enjoyable.

I had the same thought. Most people in the HL are in there either to play or to be with their friends that are playing. There just aren't many people hanging around to wait and see if a high roller comes in. I have watched some high rollers make really large bets, but frankly, its not very interesting after watching them do it once or twice. The only time it ever held my interest was the one time a player with special limits sat down at a table with me and he quickly increased his bet to a six figure wager. And that just made me feel uncomfortable more than intrigued!

My guess, gamblers who are playing exclusively in these type of casinos are probably doing it because they like the feeling of being a high enough roller that they are allowed to gamble there while others are not

Unless they are recognizable and don't want the general public to watch them (shareholder situation) throw away millions my take is its ego.
You are right, not too interesting to me either. It is what it is. It's all relative. But you and i have seen it so many times we have become jaded. When watching players take out a 1,000,000 marker for each session and playing to it, i used think there is so much more they can do with it than potentially throwing it away at the tables. But to them (and most degens like me) it's only adult expensive entertainment. Again, it's all relative..
