Not sure if there is the right forum for this question...

But, am I to understand that the cabanas and daybeds at the Cosmo pools are all F&B minimums for the cost rather than F&B additional to the cost of the cabana/daybed?

I know MGM Grand is like that... are there any other pools in Vegas like this?

I got a day bed in Marquee in June and it was just F&B minimum. Probably works out better for them as they charge some additional fees that don't count toward that F&B minimum so you end up paying them well over that F&B minimum initial cost target.

Well... hell... that's a game changer for me as the Aria charges for the cabana and then F&B on top. So, overall, it ends up being cheaper in the end. Thanks for the info!

Wow, yeah that has to end up costing a mint! :) I think I made it out of Marquee for like $390 ($200 or $250 F&B quote).

Was the $140 on top for tax and tip?

Yeah, there was some server fee, then tax, gratuity was included, then I gave the bus boy a tip too. It wasn't horrible for how much fun it is, but I wish I would have gotten there earlier in the day. I think we showed up around 2pm and left at like 5. lol

At Cosmopolitan there’s the F&B minimum, tax, 18% tip, and 4% service fee. I booked a cabana at Chelsea for September on their website last week.

The last time I had a daybed at the Chelsea pool there was zero shade, even though we had an umbrella. All the shade was behind the daybed. I’d still get one but I’d bring a hat with a crazy wide brim.

I need to figure out a way to charge people $300 per day for a 4' x 4' piece of real estate, a small meal, and a few drinks. How much does it cost to rent a whole house for a whole month these days?? Crazy.

That's why I ended up opting for a cabana back in June. I need shade and I wasn't sure I'd get enough with a daybed. It was crazy expensive $400 plus tax and service fee but at least F&B was included unlike the time we rented one at Mirage. Spent the whole day there to get as much out of it as we could. Even bought a couple random strangers drinks LOL.

    I can tell you.

    1. Erect a one billion dollar resort with a contemporary/modern design on the heart of the Las Vegas strip
    2. Create an awesome outdoor pool experience on the 14th floor
    3. Hire scantily-clad and attractive wait-staff
    4. Include creative/top-shelf food and beverage up to $300

Now that you have the formula and as a reward for doing the work for you, I would expect you not to charge me for my 4'x4' piece of real estate when I visit your wonderful, new property.

But until then, you'll find me over at the Cosmo pools.

How was the cabana? I was looking for pics on the website of the cabana locations and I really didn't see any around the pool area. Are they that far away from everything that maybe it's just worth getting a daybed right next to the pool?

I did a cabana at the Chelsea pool last month. It’s a good and bev min. There is an added auto gratuity in addition to the F&B min. You can go on the website and attempt to book to see what the all-in price is.

I did. I think it was $580 or something like that.

I guess my main concern is being so far away from the pool that I feel disconnected since I like to have drinks and socialize in the pool. I haven't even seen a cabana in any of their pics of the chelsea pool.

The cabanas at Chelsea pool are farther back than the daybeds. If you want to be right at the edge of the pool you'll want a daybed there. Here is a map. contentBlock_28411.jpg

@undathesea My Chelsea cabana isn't happening for another 5 1/2 weeks so I'll take pictures then but probably too late to help you-sorry. I requested one closer to the West bar just because it looks further away from everything. I've been looking for better pictures online too and haven't found many. I do like the daybeds in the water-they're comfortable, you can slide off the end and be in the pool, and it's definitely more social. My SIL had one of the daybeds with a canopy that isn't the water, near a tree, and in between the hot tub and the pool and she loved it. Decent amount of shade, close to the water, but enough space around her where she didn't feel crowded. I think I have some pics from the daybeds at Chelsea on my phone I'll look for.

The staff at check in has always been pretty helpful with all my questions/requests before I get seated. My SIL once requested not to sit next to kids or guys with manbuns and they acted like it was a reasonable request and did it.

Ah... sorry... don't know why I read September and thought that was already past.

We're going in September as well. I think we're planning on the 21st for our pool day! So, looks like you beat me by a few days still!

    Thanks for the info.

I had Cabana #6 which is the end orange one towards the west bar. Just looked and I didn't really take many photos besides us posing in front of it - sorry. It looked a little worn inside but I was thankful to have that space to retreat to in the middle of the day when it was stupid hot. I might try a daybed sometime but I don't think I'd find it that comfortable for an entire day thing. Prefer having a full lounge chair that you can adjust instead of just propping yourself up with a pillow.

Why didn't she want to be near guys with manbuns?? Is there something I should know, but don't?!?
