Cosmo or Mlife(or something else?)

I am gold at mlife and last went in May. I was able to renew my gold through September 2019 during a 4 day stay in May. I get offered multiple 4 night trips a year at any mlife hotel(some are even suites). I stayed 4 nights at the bellagio in May, have 4 nights in the MGM tower next week, and 4 nights in a spa suite at the NYNY in November. Each comes with $100 resort credit and $75 freeplay.

The question is- is cosmo a better alternative or are my mlife rewards good enough for my level of play. I had roughly 20k coin in during my last 4 day stay which was my only stay so far in 2018. In 2017 I had roughly the same coin in although I am missing a large stay on my win/loss sheet. I only play slots. I am also elite on carnival and have not paid for a cruise in years which I realize means nothing to vegas.

I did email Kevin but he said rooms were at a premium during a November stay and he wanted to see me do some cosmo play. While I understand that I am loathe to start all over again. I also cannot figure out this identity program because there is nothing showing your tier level which is rather lame. Obviously getting offered a couple nights a year at the cosmo is not worth it since I can do 20-30 nights a year at a mlife hotel. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I wanted to add that was 20k coin in during my 4 day stay at the bellagio. I also love to explore the strip and probably had another 5k coin in at various hotels for a total of 25k coin in. Since that was not enough to entice the cosmo for even a couple frontend comped rooms I am wondering if it is even worth playing there or should I just go for platinum at mlife. Thanks.

Can you give Cosmo a little love and see if that gets you a room comp teaser offer for your following trip?

    A lot of them
I was Mlife but have now completely transitioned to Cosmo. For slot players the comps and free play are so much better than Mlife for the same amount of coin in IMO. Give them some good play and you will get a nice offer.

When we did the switchover from CET to Cosmo, we did 75% of our play at Harrah's/Flamingo and 25% at Cosmo to start, gradually increasing our budget at Cosmo. This earned us our four night comps with CET and a two night comp with Cosmo. Now we are 100% with Cosmo and our room offers cover the entire trip with very generous free play and food on the side. I'd say we were doing 10-15K coin-in at the beginning and we are now averaging 35-50K with the same budget. Lots more cycle.

To track my play during a trip, I just visit the Identity Desk each morning (always empty early in the day) and jot down my point information. The reps are always happy to let me know how many points I need for the next tier.

I think I am working on a possible career as a Cosmo Welcome Wagon Rep.

I'm doing my first stay at Cosmo in October. Even after giving them a modest amount of play I was able to get a decent weekday rate in a Studio Fountainview room. I'm also an MLife player who will qualify as Gold this year so I'm interested to see what a true stay and play stint at Cosmo garners.

Still, I'm not sure if I'll ever totally abandon MLife because of the flexibility the group offers. Multiple resorts and all of that.

I am debating it but they did not seem interested even when I sent in proof of 20k coin in during a 4 day stay. I am probably too small for cosmo to care unfortunately but I am spread kind of thin with 2 cruises and 2 mlife stays in the next 4.5 months.

It doesn't take much to get offers from them. If you're interested in staying there go there for an afternoon and play on your next trip. My first offers were earned during a 2-3 hour gambling session there and I haven't looked back since. 3-4 comp nights every trip and much more generous FP than I ever got at CET or MLife.

Put your money where your mouth is and play there if you want comps. Honestly why would any casino give you $1,200 in up front comps with no actual history there? It's easy to show coin in at another casino but what guarantee do they have that they'll see that action from you? None really.

I'm a low-roller most of the time. The Cosmo has been great to me.

After my first paid stay, I started getting 2 night offers. I booked 3 nights on my next stay and they comped the 3rd at check-out. Ever since, I've gotten 4 night offers with varying degrees of Identity play and resort credit. During my last trip, I got my highest offer ever.

I feel welcomed by the Cosmo each trip and believe they're quite generous. Like others have said, just give them a try when you're ready and I'm sure you'll start getting offers.

Curious on how long after your stay you got offers?

I visited Cosmo for the first time at the end of October, and I had an offer for December/Jan available. I couldn't make it then, and Kevin graciously extended the offer until I could make it in February.

I find Cosmo to be my favorite casino now that I have established some play there. My suggestion is to put in some decent play (at whatever level you are comfortable for for a couple of hours) during your next trip and see what potential bounceback offers you get. They usually send something out within a month and you will then have a really good idea of where you stand. I say it's completely worth it. I am gold Mlife too but I would choose Cosmo 7 days of the week and twice on Sunday when given the choice :)

Ok I checked in to the mgm grand and hit my first ever handpay of $2500 on my 3rd spin on fire link. Talk about starting off on a high note. I went over to the cosmo and played a few hours and hit Stirling level. I went back the next day and did enough for another 2k identity points. I spent the rest of the day playing at mgm grand and luxor. I am over at disneyland for 5 days and then will drive back to Vegas for a day until I fly out. I will hit the cosmo again. Hopefully that generates some offers. I still felt some obligation to give mlife some play which I would not have had I stayed at the cosmo.

Keep an eye on your email. My first time I got an offer for $395 in Freeplay that could be used within the next 72 hours. It came the day after getting my Identity card

I was Mlife loyal for years; Platinum and my home base was Aria. Took a 2 night teaser offer at Cosmo. Never looked back. What Platinum at Cosmo gives me that Platinum Mlife did not: $250/year annual resort credit, 2 nights to GIVE to a companion to enjoy a room of their own, a limo ride to the airport and back EVERY trip, 4 night offers with freeplay/FB exceeding Mlife with a suite EVERY trip, and a host who takes much better care of me than her counterpart at Mlife. In addition, I have been fortunate to be beta testing Cosmo's new website that will roll out soon, and it will resolve the tier credit/base points problem. You will be able to see all of your offers, your status, your base points and tier credits. AND I love a balcony overlooking the fountains. Just no comparison, in my book. Giving Cosmopolitan some of your play will, as they say pay off in spades : )

I've moved away from Cosmo, despite much less play I get better offers through Mlife now than I ever did staying at Cosmo. Bellagio / Aria etc. offering multiple nights comped in Suites, $500 FP, $500 FB and the best I got at Cosmo was a 1 Bed (never upgraded) with a little FB/FP.

In a year (based in the UK so visits are 2/3 times per year). $84K Coin In, $11.5K actual loss. I believe my loss at Cosmo is higher than that.

What a great visit. After we came back for one night at the luxor before flying home I did 100k tier credits and got mlife platinum. They comped my wife/kid tender steakhouse. Thanks for the advise all.
