I have been a long time platinum player with Cosmo. Taking a trip soon and I know this will be the last with all the perks I have become accustomed too there. My old host left and is now at Venetian. Should I stay one last time at Cosmo or just pull the plug and go to the Venetian. Any advice from this forum is appreciated!

Similar situation here. Long time Cosmo player. The other half and I are platinum. Our old host is now at Resort World. We are giving Cosmo at least one more go before the official players club switch over. I’ll give them a go for at least one trip post merge. We shall see. Not sure if we’d go Resort World or what from here.

Thanks for the reply! Yes our host went to RW first and I just couldn't pull the trigger due to location on the strip. We usually always go to the Venetian each trip and I like it there for bar top VP. Honestly I love the Cosmo. We are big Sports Book peeps and love that we can always get a seat because we actually play and tip well. My only issue really with the Cosmo currently is when you come down from dinner it is impossible to get a seat at Chandy and only about 20% are actually playing. Then if you want to sit there later in the evening it is a nightmare with sloppy drunks. LOL

Sounds like we had the same host (TM). Just checked LinkedIn and sure enough I see him at Venetian.

We love to the sports book bar at Cosmo too. It’s a big reason why we keep coming back. Brannon has been one of our go to bartender for years now. We like Chandy in the AM if we are up early. Seeing the overnight crowd and the early crowd mixing is interesting.

Yes Brannon is the reason we keep going back really. He is so good!! My favorite time at Chandy is late afternoon. I call it my witching hour. LOL

I do have to ask....Bayoubengal?? LSU?

Other bartenders are good too. But Brannon is the main guy that got us hooked on sports book bar. Chandy is great people watching most of the day. There’s always “professionals” trying to find their next client, a guy trying way too hard to flirt, woo girls, etc….

    LSU alum here.

Personally I left Venetian/ Palazzo for Cosmo and wouldn't return although I still get great offers. Something about the Cosmo vibe and pools that makes me want to keep going back and now that I can room charge meals from other MGM properties I'll likely stick with Cosmo and the odd Crockfords stay or Fountainbleu if they offer match and I like it. I am also Platinum Cosmo but strictly slots.

Even in Oct 2023, Cosmo is still the same Cosmo as it was 2 & 3 years ago. Almost nothing to date has changed outside of some turnover in the casino slots dept--something 98% of the people visiting the property are clueless about. I don't really get all the doom and gloom with the MGM takeover. If you enjoyed Cosmo then why not keep staying there? Personally, I plan to look for a backup option (possibly Venetian/Palazzo) cause I don't want to put all my "gambling dollar eggs" in the MGM basket, but I'll most definitely keep going to Cosmo/Park/Aria.

I am a HUGE LSU fan! I am born and raised in Colorado, but because I have been going to Vegas since I was young. As we walked through the casino and/or I would go find my parents in the sports book I fell in love with the LSU fans. I have been a die hard ever since. If you are even in Vegas and see a blonde wearing a Burrow or OBJ LSU jersey...that is me!! Last year we were eating at the bar in Blue Ribbon when LSU beat Bama. I was told to leave because the manager was a Bama fan. LOLOLOLOL Geaux TIGERS!!!

You are right not much has changed...other than the offers have shrunk and my awesome host is not there any longer.

Will be in for thanksgiving weekend. Considering heading to BarCode Burger just off strip which is the official lsu alumni watch location. Many years ago the party was The Pub at Monte Carlo. That was a ton of fun especially considering a friend from lsu of mine working at the Review Journal.
