I didn't know what to expect for my bounce back offers there.

I stayed/played at Cosmo last month for really the 1st time ever. I didn't go crazy, but I manged just over $10K of coin, all slots, each day of a 2 night trip.

My bounce back offer was $525 in free play+ $200 dining credit. That is pretty respectable.

Looks like I ended up with just over 12,000 points in 2 days. 4,000 and change day 1, good enough for Sterling. And once I did that, double points kicked in on my next 4,000.

I'll easily hit Gold the next day I'm there. That is just another $10K of coin. Looks like you get the same 2 X points as Sterling. I don't care about the free night stay, my play takes care of that. And my host kills the resort fee.

But is it worth it to chase Platinum?

With this $525 + $200 resort coupled with my Treasure Island $650 free play, i almost have to fly out in Q1 to gamble. That's a good value for 4 nights (and the free rooms)

Just keep in mind for tier advancement purposes, the slot multipliers don't apply.

Once you reach Sterling, you're earning freeplay/resort credit at 2x (or $.01 for every $1.25 coin in), but you're still earning tier credits towards Gold at 1 per $2.50 coin in.

So if you did enough coin in to get over 4,000 pts (but not by much), and then you did the same amount of coin in the next day, you're probably around 8,000+ TCs, not 12,000.

Until they get the new web site functionality in place, you need to track your own play (or periodically hit the Identity Desk) to track your tier credit status.

You do get 5 TCs (as well as $.05 in resort credit) for every $1 of spend.

Platinum is out of reach for me, I'm usually there 10 nights a year and usually just eke over Gold by a thousand or two TCs, and a bunch of them come from room upgrade fees. You're talking $125k on slots to make Platinum on gambling alone.

Dammit Chuck! I knew I was missing something. Without those multipliers on TC's I don't think I'd be able to get past Gold. I can only stay with Cosmo for 2 nights each trip. I go to Vegas to be able to bounce around. MGM & CET allow me to do that when i stay with them. So I'd always go 2 nights one club plus 2 nights another.

If I can break off 8,000 points per, and I already have 8,000 in the bank, I just need 2 more Cosmo trips before Nov 2018 to hit Gold at 20,000. I'd over shoot it by 4,000 if my average holds up.

The website is fucking useless. it shows how many points I have now, after cashing them out before I left. Not how many points I earned. I know I got my Sterling card on day one, since i followed my points along. And when I checked in with my host after the trip, she said I averaged about $10K a day.

2 trips to hit Gold is doable. Enough to hit Platinum is now impossible. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'd never spend my money on property. My food is comped, or I;d use my resort credit. The room is free ETC. I might drop a few bucks for drinks in the sundries but that is it.

Yeah, the single number they show on the website is the sum of both slot points, where the multiplier applies (and they are convertible to either freeplay OR resort credit) plus resort credit points earned via spend. So you can't track your TCs that way. And if you convert some to freeplay or spend some as resort credit, that number will go down when you "redeem."

As far as I know, they are still working on the website behind the scenes. I had a couple of conversations with Kevin Sweet about it, but not in the past couple of months. I know he's very keen on getting it up to speed, but getting all the programming work on that stuff done and tested tends to always take longer than people originally project.

That I am! First time at Cosmo for them. I just want to see the look on the club kids faces when I push my stroller full of sticky kids past them on my way to eat LOL

HAHA! I love it! If your kids are like mine they are attracted to touching every square inch of freshly cleaned glass with sticky ketchup fingers!

I just finished my trip recently to the Cosmo in December and loved it. I can’t emphasize enough the customer service aspect, rooms, and most importantly (for me) the gambol. Like you I play slots and I get good play (called entertainment dollars to the wife) for my money which I think puts Cosmo above mlife properties where a combination of PGP, deteriorating comp and room make it less and less attractive over time. I’m still waiting for my bounce back offer, how long did it exactly take for you to receive the offer? I didn’t have a host but after I sought one out before checkout, she was very friendly and comped everything except tips. She also gave a business card and asked to be contacted before my next trip but it appears she was a executive table casino host and not a slot host. Anyone have any experience with this? Sorry if I seem to be hijacking your thread

I only played there for 2 days, but we played hours on end and I did run over $20,000 through the machines. I didn't beat the house, but i didnt do bad either. Seems like a fair casino, as these Independent joints often do (Treasure Island). Just like you, great rooms, great people, great property, great casino = Cosmo from here on out!
