I have been moving more and more of my play towards Cosmo. I love the rooms, my host rocks and my offers are solid.

But the biggest reason why, was the fact that MGM & CET just weren't giving me much play for my coin. Their slots get tighter each trip. Cosmo gives me some great time on device.

    And my 2018 coin-in / coin-out speaks volumes.

I spent 2 nights with them earlier in the year, and did a drop in visit last month for a day. $25K of coin in and $105 lost.

Lucky? Sure. But zero handpays or anything to slant the numbers. Just good old fashion grinding.

Just wanted to share. If you haven't jumped ship yet, there is still room on board!

Small sample size, but I think we get your gist. Bottom line is I don't think many of us expect to win, but at least give us some "entertainment" value for losing our money. The holds are getting tighter and tighter, I switched to strictly VP at dollar level to at least get a decent paytable at Bellagio and Cosmo. The comps suck, but as you say the hosts at Cosmo at least try and give an extra effort to get you something for your play. My host at Cosmo is the only reason I go there, so hats off to her and the staff there.

Much better than probably the entire forum with that amount of slot volume. And with zero handpays, that has to be very unlikely to pull off. I would be surprised if it was even 5% likely in the 5 to 10,000 spin range without a handpay at Grid's level of play. Keep running hot Grid!

I'm technically up at Cosmo as well this year, but my sample size is laughable. A quarter AWAK in quick fashion helps to be ahead obv. ;)

But overall, I doubt Cosmo slots are more than 2% better than MLife/CET on average. Hell, the way most TRs read on this forum, they might even be worse! Lol

I wish Nevada was like many Midwest states and published individual casinos' revenues, so I wouldn't have to guess. Lol

Last time I was there maintenance was being performed on one of the Chinese themed penny games - the screen displayed a payout rate of 85%. Ouch. Especially if you are max betting at $8.88.

Having said that, I'm with you on the Cosmo. They look after me really well, and the comps and service has been so much better than what I have received with Mlife.

I could post mine, but it's terrible, haha.
    $190K coin-in, with $13k loss...I guess not bad since it's mostly slots.

Wow, you did good. You tend to play higher denominations in general right? Or a lot of penny games too?

I will agree with you based on my experiences. I can't speak much for MGM, but with as much play that I have given CET over the past 10 years in Vegas, I know how tight they are. Have never had a winning trip with them with the exception of two trips where I hit royals that helped offset slot losses.
I have yet to give Cosmo a full day of play like I do with CET, but the times where I have wandered over there I seem to get more frequent wins and my bankroll lasts a lot longer. It's a nice break from losing at CET casinos there. I don't consider Cosmopolitan to have loose slots by any means in comparison to some off strip casinos or Reno, but I think it's a little better than a lot of the strip.

That being said though, Cosmo does a great job in having a variety of denominations to play on a lot of games. I would rather bet $2.50 on a 10 line quarter slot, than $2.50 on a penny game because the payback is better. I can play games like this at Cosmo all day long. I go to a CET casino and it's all penny games, and then a section of dollar and up reels. The in-between denomination games exist but selection is tiny. I think that may be why I do a little better at Cosmo?

This is mostly .25 ultimate x, with 30k or so worth of slots mixed in. I'd normally say it's a fluke but I've had the best results for a couple years at Cosmo over everywhere else. [IMG]

I wish I could have locked up some more big wins, but I had 3 nice trips to Cosmo this year.

Ahahahaha and it was totally worth it!!! I'm doing it again on Sunday! I'm dropping the bags and heading straight to The Voice! I fricking love that machine.

Yeah all pennies. I dip into dimes for a little bit but I just had 2 trips with really bad runs. I couldn't hit anything. The last trip was pretty decent. That was an awful lot of my coin in. It's all what i budgeted to lose and I didn't think it was that bad until you guys showed me yours. I still love Ricky, it's okay.

@fraygul Have a good trip! I'm going to be looking for your Ricky Martin posts while I'm at work. (or not, if you're too busy to post, that's great.)
