We normally don't plan too far ahead, but I've had October 2020 on my calendar for a while for the 40th birthday bash in Vegas so we're thinking way ahead.

In an ideal world, my wife and I would visit Vegas every September for our anniversary, plus once in the spring to take a break from the cold Canadian winter, and we've been able to do that for a few years now.

We just got back from our spring trip and our September trip is coming up (albeit a bit later than normal) but we already know spring 2020 we won't be back since we'll be doing a Disney cruise with the kiddos, and in the fall of 2020 we'll be there in October instead of September.

We'll have a tendency to want to "light it up" this fall in order to get the best possible offer for the big birthday trip, but, since that will be more than a year after will it matter? We'll obviously have no tier status by then either.

This of course assumes that Cosmo doesn't change hands before then, which it probably will, but just going on experience - if you take a break longer than a year between trips do the offers fall off?
