Delilah at the Wynn

Has anyone been yet? I hear it’s a step up from Mayfair.

 

Hmmm. I am checking it out this weekend. My host was useless in getting a reservation. Surprisingly, Amex concierge came through last minute.

 

I hope so. I’ve been to Mayfair I think 5 times and I always had a good experience there.

 

I used them as a last ditch effort. They've come through with hard to get restaurant reservations in the past.

Final thoughts… the food was fine. Nothing completely wowed me. I think the $72 fish and chips is a bit egregious, but hey, it’s Vegas and it’s the Wynn. The seafood tower was what you would expect to see at a high end steakhouse. The chicken tenders were pretty damn good. Juicy and seasoned well throughout. Amazing job for breast meat. I do highly recommend the sundae. They said it is meant for a party of 6, but we probably finished 30-40% at best. For those that know me, I have a huge sweet tooth and couldn’t power through it.

The venue itself is super nice. It’s beautiful and definitely meets and exceeds what you would expect at the Wynn.

I felt the entertainment was a bit lacking. I had a better time at Mayfair. That’s not to say that they weren’t good, but I felt Mayfair had a bit more fanfare.

One of the things that irked me was that it appeared that 25% of the people in the joint were staff and a lot of them were just standing around. It’s kind of odd hearing about labor shortages everywhere and these guys are completely and utterly over staffed.

Would I go back? Probably not. Unless I was going to a concert at the Wynn and was hoping to catch the performer drop in at Delilah for an intimate performance after the concert.
