Didn’t Play At Usual Level...Will I Be Ok for Future Offers?

So I went to the August tournament that I was invited to last week and stayed two nights at Palazzo. My first trip in over a year and I didn’t play at my usual level - I usually do Max Bet on slots up to $6.

Since I didn’t have my usual bankroll, I only played Max Bet if the machine was $3 Max or less. I only racked up about 10k points (I’m currently Gold until the end of this year) and knew I didn’t have as much coin in as previous trips. (I can usually secure Gold for the next year during a 2-3 day stay)

Anyway, I looked at my Grazie account and noticed it said that I didn’t have any offers for December. I still had offers for October and November. I went ahead and booked two nights for an offer in October since it comes with some freeplay and resort credit. I booked it for three reasons, the freebies, I’m going to be in town for business anyway and also to see if I can rack up another 10k to reach Gold again for next year.

Should my offers remain the same if I get to Gold in October or do you think because I had a low play trip in August it will affect future offers?

Thanks in advance for any input.

    Sorry for the long-winded post!

The status level doesnt really play to much in to the offers. Its more off your daily play. People could get Gold from going 10 times a year and barely playing, not gambling but charging everything to the room, etc.

In my experience Venetian usually put out offers in 3 month groups. It might just be a little to early for your December offers. Also, I dont think a trip in Aug would affect your offers so quickly. Usually it takes a couple months for anything like that to catch up either positively or negatively.

I don't play at V/P often enough anymore to have a sensitive feel for how they react but based on the last couple of times I stayed:

    • They put out new offers on a monthly basis, covering current and 3 future months. I have 3 offers for December, one slot tourney, one concert, and the monthly suite offer. If your last trip was at the beginning of August, it wouldn't surprise me if it was reflected in December offers, I found them to react fairly quickly (ie. December's offers being the first that could be affected, since Sep/Oct/Nov offers were already out).
    • Based on what you said, you did somewhere between half and two-thirds of your normal play level. Half is probably enough to move the needle against you.
    • If you return to your normal play level in October, it will probably "cure" your lower-play trip, but offers for Nov/Dec/Jan may have already been calculated by then. You could probably make an appeal to a host or Casino Relationship Manager to bump your offer if you wanted to stay in Nov/Dec/Jan but your offers had suffered because of August.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I do think December offers are already out as my friend checked their account and they are listed. Hopefully I can put more time (and not too much money) in next month.

My host is on medical leave and not sure when he gets back. I’ll definitely email him towards the end of the year should my offers dwindle down after October.

I also left out that when I've seen my offer level drop, they shaved off the throw-in amounts before they dropped room nights.

So you may find that instead of 4 nights and a decent chunk of freeplay and resort credit, your FP/RC gets dropped to a minimal amount first, then after that they may shave a night off, or it's harder to get a weekend night included, etc.
