Right on Theo with just under 12% loss on coin in. You went home with some of your bankroll, and anytime I do that I feel like it was a successful trip.

Really great report to follow. I liked the videos and, if I don’t get in trouble, I might try some recording at The Beau.

Thanks for all the updates and videos on your awesome birthday trip. Really enjoyed following along. Although it was not a winning trip, glad you were able to make it. Good luck with the quarantine.

I have felt personally victimized by Madonna multiple times LOL. It's good my local got rid of her. Unfortunately I'm just as much of a sucker on Farmville.

Thanks for the TR. I miss the Cosmo so much. It's been almost a year now!

Thank you! I didn’t feel like a good luck charm, but it was fun.

Slots are usually not brain surgery, but I've never fully understood how the multipliers work on the reels of the Madonna game. Do they only come into play if you fill the screen in the bonus?

No, they instantly increase the value of any mighty cash symbols that appear (even if you don't get the 6 needed to trigger the bonus - they always show the amounts multiplied). I'm sure my run was unusually bad / unlucky, but it did seem like the higher the multipliers went the harder the bonus was to trigger. If that is the case where the machine is programmed to trigger the bonus less frequently when there are multipliers, then that's borderline criminal. Perhaps somebody else wants to do an experiment to find out - I sure as shit don't :)

Got an email from my host today - she's able to wipe off everything but $200 from the bill. So that's 3 nights in a wraparound, and food (albeit not expensive food) for 4 days for $200 (US). The flight was a little over $600 CDN, which included a free upgrade to an empty / better row in the main cabin DTW -> LAS, and a free upgrade to Comfort + LAS -> DTW, and airport parking was just over $100 CDN. I ended up doing a taxi to/from the airport for $48 combined with tips.

Gambling was the only entertainment for the trip and I figure I did that for about 30 hours, and there's not many things that are fun which cost less than $100 / hour so I'm good with that.

If only that $18 Buffalo Gold bonus could have retriggered a couple of times....

So to answer @jyen (or any other Canadians thinking about a trip) about dealing with the Canadian authorities upon return. Similar to @MeaghanCamilla when they returned, I was ready for the border agent to give me the third degree about non-essential travel. Nope. There's an app that the government created "ArriveCAN" which I'm required to use which makes it easier for them to track the quarantine. They also give you sheets to fill in upon arrival. Apparently the app is supposed to replace the sheets, but even though I told the guy handing out the sheets that I had the app, he made me fill it out. The border agent said I didn't need to do both, but it wasn't that big of a deal.

The self-declaration is done by kiosk and is normal other than an extra question asking about symptoms. That spits out a receipt, so then I took my passport, my completed sheet, and declaration receipt to the border agent (1 of 2 stations open). He asked how long I had been away, where I had been, and confirmed that my place of quarantine was my house. 15-second conversation. They ask on the sheet (and in the app) if the purpose of travel was for "essential" or "exemption" reasons but it's not a requirement so say that - I'm pretty sure they're just gathering stats on it. They could not care less if the purpose of the trip was non-essential; they just want to know that you're going to abide by the quarantine rules.

One thing that is a bit annoying, and probably just really specific to my situation, was that I arrived in DTW at dinner time but with not enough time to eat, and then arrived in YYZ hoping to grab a bit at the airport where nothing is open. By the spirit of the quarantine rules (but not the letter of them) I wasn't able to just swing through a drive-through on the way home, so @Mrs2BOBCATS had a sandwich waiting for me in the basement when I got home.

They hand out a 2-sided information sheet upon arrival which contains the "do's and don'ts" of quarantine. My quarantine plan at home is actually far more cautious than what's allowed.

Interesting information on quarantine rules. I think its doable if you have the space at home and able to quarantine and maintain work obligations.

Our house is a 4-level side split. So level 0 is the basement where my office is and has a pull-out sofabed where I'll be sleeping. Food will be left at the top of the stairs and I'll eat it in the basement. Level 1 has a half bath which will be for my exclusive use for the next couple weeks. Level 2 has the kitchen / living room and I won't go up there unless everyone else is out of the house, and anything I touch in the kitchen will be sanitized after use. Level 3 has the bedrooms and the main bathroom - I plan to shower every 3/4 days so I'm not in that bathroom that often, and again it will only happen when no other people are in the house and it will be sanitized after use.

Clearly I am allowed to eat with the family at the dinner table and would even be allowed to sit in the same living room watching TV - but we're going way above and beyond - at least for the first week. Assuming I've got no symptoms we might relax a bit, but probably not. I won't be coming within 20 feet of my family members out of an abundance of caution - it's a small town and word will get around quickly that I've been to the US so we need to prove we're going beyond what we need to do.

Caution is good. And it’s good that they spell it out because people interpret info in different ways. Hope it passes quickly for you.

    Nice report!
We just missed you (we drove in for a night Saturday afternoon)
Hitting right about Theo (for slots) seems like a win in my book! (We usually lose twice or four times Theo!)
