Saw this mentioned on twitter so I checked it out for myself on their website. It’s true. Wtf? I assume it’ll still be tracked and might figure into offers? Yeah they’ve got some 100%+ DDB at $2 now but I assume the usual progressives at Furnace Bar remain unchanged. They’ve been my go to downtown casino for a couple of years now. Maybe i should move on? The D/Circa....

Ugh. I would think you'd still get the same mailers based on the same level of play, but i can't be certain of that.

Well, maybe not anymore. VPFree2 says the furnace bar is now 10/6 DDB plus the progressives! Go get some before they come to their senses!

These guys have to be bleeding money if they are trying this...

I have a different view on it, I welcome this move accompanied by a bunch of full pay VP including 10/6 DDB progressive and full pay Deuces.

Who needs the points, I want the money.

Playing recreationally... most would want the points along with a little less money.

If you need the money... you don't care about the points.

I can see reduced or no points on these machines but to go with no points on all vp... nope.

I was planning my fist visit here in October... maybe I'll go and play $100 on full play games then walk

Yeah, overall i think this is a STUPID move by DTG. The people that they'll want to play the most (those that ignore paytables) will be the ones most upset by the players' club change.

That being said, i hope the games are still there by my next trip.

I've never been to DTG so I don't know, but did they just add these full pay machines and then tweak the points situation, or did they always have these full pay machines too?

If it's a tradeoff maybe it's not so bad, if they were already there and THEN they gutted the players club for VP I imagine regulars will be quite upset.

I think it's an OK trade if you don't earn points on those particular machines then, but to eliminate it on all VP is kinda brutal.

Yeah no points on 100%+ machines is fine with me. But sorta short sighted to get rid of points on things like say 8/5 DDB with Ultimate X. I highly doubt they bothered to change the paytables on all the "gimmick games".

Over the years they have see-sawed between bad paytables and good ones - but they never had a large number of good ones.

For example, they added some full pay jacks months (or a year?) ago, and then steadily reduced the number of machines.

Honestly, the 8/5 DDB with progressives at the bar was the highest return machine a good chunk of the time.

If it's been changed to 10/6 like VPFree2 says, I hope they didn't touch the meter rates, and you can get back to Vegas before it's too late! And curious if they changed other bartops too...

Looks like the $2 denom on these 100%+ machines is gone. Just $1 and lower. Furnace bar with progressive are still there. All of this is according to vpfree2. Still no points for VP.

Most of the Full Pay Deuces games (100.76%) have been downgraded to Almost Positive Deuces Wild (99.96%). They are backtracking because they got crushed by machine pros. A skilled player can average $30+/hr with dollar Full Pay Deuces Wild.

Natural royals and deuces are the only handpays as well. So no slow down unless you’re hitting your money hands.

Quarters would be safe because you just can’t cycle enough money thru. And if at the bar keep feeding people drinks and their strategy will worsen increasing the houses expected win. Plus hold percentage is likely to go up chasing those progressives.
