Early checkin

I'd say most hotels will generally just give whatever is available. So there's a good chance it could be a less desirable room. I'd say that's especially true on a Sunday morning since there's a good chance it's pretty full on s Saturday night until Sunday morning.

Instead of paying the early check in fee early maybe it's best to just try checking in early, and if there's no satisfactory room available when you get there just let them know you'd rather wait than take that room for the charge.

 

I don't think I'd pay an early check-in fee in advance in that situation, because of it being Sunday morning.

If you paid it and they have your room type available, but you don't like the location, you could try to get the fee refunded, but you wouldn't be a due a refund.

I agree with @Goldenknight, I would just try to check-in when you get there and see what happens. See if they have a room location you like and then see if they want to charge you the fee to get it right away.

 

I paid for it in that situation in May at Park MGM.....glad I did. Think it might have been 40 bucks tops.

Doesn't matter too much there, they basically have a million of the same room versions. Wasn't losing out on anything special for a comp room at my level.

And so much nicer after a long flight to be able to get your suitcase taken care, get refreshed and have the day in front of you.

I remember hearing later checkin into Cosmo generally gets you higher floors once, and it seems to have worked for us, so we mostly stick with that.
