We hung out at Chandy for awhile, mostly donating. The only hit was mine:

We said our goodbyes to F + S and Gregory, and commenced to find some good slotting, if possible.
Loaded my $300 fsp at Identity, and lost that in quick fashion. After digging into real cash, we found some wins:

We needed some food, so we ordered a whole pie from Not-So-Secret Pizza and ate in the room. Then back downstairs, where we proceeded to slowly give back most of our wins. We called it a night around 11pm, with a few hundos each for a pit stop at Resorts World tmrw.

We both slept really well in that Cosmo bed! We were up at 7am... plenty of time for long showers and to pack before our 9:30 ressie at The Henry.

Afterwards, we didn't hang around to do any more play. I've already been bumped down to Gold, and we won't be back before the transition to MGM anyway. A quick accounting had us still up $200 on the trip so far, so hey, we're still doing great with two days to go. Time to grab a Lyft to RW!

We arrived at Resorts World and went straight to the cashier/players club to get my $100 fsp loaded. We played a few slots together but the free play went just as quickly as it did back at Cosmo. Dang.
We then wandered off to choose our own slots; hubs to the Dragon Links and me to a shiny new game, Buffalo and Friends. Hubs would get up every few minutes, shaking his head in a "no luck" sign... but I was doing ok, getting line hits and a bonus, and cashing out after each decent win and inserting a fresh $20:

Just after hubs' umpteenth pass-thru, I triggered another bonus. I yelled after him, "another bonus, you wanna watch?" but he just shook his head and went around to the other side of my carousel.
I had triggered two of the bonuses together, and as it progressed, the two coin re-triggers kept landing. I was getting noisy with my Austin Powers "yeah baby, yeah" outbursts, and was drawing a small crowd. I was yelling for hubs to come see, and he finally did, towards the end of the free spins... I kept saying "can you believe this on a $1.60 bet?!?" while the lady next to me kept asking "do you think it'll be a handpay?"

That machine was HOT and so much fun!
I cashed out and gave it another $20, but it seemed the streak had ended, so I thanked it and we wandered some more.

We decided to sit at the center bar for some bevvies and VP. I've pretty much swore off alcoholic drinks besides beer (too many Vegas nights with hubs having to guide me to the room and hold my hair while I begged for death), but he has no such qualms and got a spicy Bloody Mary. We played awhile but nothing was hitting. I said I'd give mine another $40 and that might be it. He decided to glance thru the slot selection, was doing ok on his choice, and then had a pretty good bonus:

Finally, a hubs win!

He cashed out, and we decided to start our journey back downtown.
We dropped our stuff in the room at Main St Station and went back downstairs to continue the gambol.

Back at MSS, we had an hour or so to kill before our dinner ressie at Redwood Steakhouse for my birthday. So, uh... gambol?

Hubs stopped at the first slot he saw with a "full pot", or in this case, "loaded firecrackers". We know this is just a gimmick to make players think it's "due"... but we still get sucked in sometimes.

And sometimes it works!
The pot didn't close, but he did trigger the free spins for a nice win.

After slot grazing for awhile, it was time to eat for real. We got in right away, and only took a moment to decide what we wanted. Skipping appetizers, hubs ordered the giant rib eye and I chose the shrimp + scallops with a side of lobster. Both were delicious!

We charged it to the room to use up my food credit and most likely get the rest comped off from my host. Stuffed, we stepped back out into the Cal casino to try our luck again, until whenever we were ready to call it a night.

Woke up on Tuesday, our last full day, and did an accounting. Even after the decent wins of yesterday, we still spent more than we won... down about 1k, or $165 each for 3 days. Not bad!

We headed over to The D to use my food credit at the coffee stand. Breakfast sammies, coffee, a muffin, a soda and some waters used it up. We sat at a big-bench slot to eat (we classy) and slow played to keep security off our asses. And we made $30, hah!
We wandered thru the D, played a few slots and lost, and then decided to head over to El Cortez. We had heard mixed reviews of the changes they've made on the floor, and wanted to see for ourselves.

Compared to the last few days (it had been cloudy and windy as f**k), it was perfect weather! We took our time walking down Fremont.

We entered El Cortez and slowly walked around. We noticed it seemed more "shiny", and they had more new slots. I ended up in a small (new?) section of higher denom machines, and the Top Dollar one caught my eye. Oh why not...

I found hubs to show him the pic, then wandered some more, playing new-to-me games. I would win some, lose some, move. After awhile, hubs found me with his own pic. Yay hubs!

We found Buffalo Link way in the back and played that for some time, but ultimately busted out. We'd been there awhile and were ready to go elsewhere, so we headed back to the D to sit at the bar.
There weren't any seats at Vue Bar, but we found some at Bar Canada. I didn't hit anything but hubs did:

Needing to walk again, we went outside and leisurely made our way to the Plaza. Unfortunately, nothing was hitting here and we'd already donated enough... plus our tummies were saying it was time to eat. We made the short trek back to MSS and ate at Triple 7. My chicken teriyaki bowl was excellent, and hubs said his chili and onion rings were really good too. My host was eating at the next table with an older couple... I said hello at one point but otherwise didn't interrupt their meal. I charged the bill to the room, and then we were off to give Boyd a final shot at our dollars.

Aaaaaaand, the dollars went. Ugh. Back and forth, MSS to Cal to MSS, we couldn't get anything going. Hubs called it quits around midnight, but I stayed up another hour or so for one last try.
I finally got one last pic-worthy win, but it didn't make up for the spending of the evening:

I was keeping close tabs on our spending today, and we were out another 1k. And I was tired. So, 2k spent, 4 days play. Not horrible, not great, but could've been worse if not for the wins earlier in the trip. We had brought double that to spend (worse case) so technically we were bringing money home

Our flight home on Wednesday went fine. We had fun! And another Vegas birthday for the memories.
