What is your favorite high limit room and why?

I’m partial to Bellagio because they have a private restroom and there are fewer hanger-oners. I hate when people hover over my game.

Palazzo, I enjoy the quiet solo table.

FWIW, I really like the high limit BJ room at Bellagio, but the bac room, not as much. It can feel cramped when its busy.

Off the top of my head, the ones I enjoy the most are probably Aria, Palazzo, and to a lesser extent, the Wynn. They don't feel cramped, even when busy, and have nice snacks, ambiance, drink service, air quality, and areas to sit back and take a break form the action. Talon room and MGM Grand follow shortly behind the first three

Is there a high limit room that doesn't have a private bathroom? They all seem to have one.

That's been my experience as well. Nice to not have to walk across the floor. Also the longer you're away the less you spend!

I agree with Aria, probably the best drink service anywhere, but can’t stand the cigar smoking they allow in the high limit lounge and nowhere else on property. I saw a $1mm CL player walk away when they wouldn’t ask a guy drinking a glass of water and smoking a cigar to leave.

MGM is my favorite for the game selection they have. And I don’t feel like you get the “walk thru” traffic as much there

Aria is great, and I like Mandalay Bay as well. As far as MGM Grand, I'm actually not a big fan of The Mansion -- I may be in the minority here, but I think it's a bit too bright and open. I like the way ParkMGM looks, but there is never anyone there, and while I don't want a crowded HL room, I also don't want to be the only person.

I admittedly will smoke a cigar about once a year, but never at tables or without at least asking permission. I like doing it occasionally, but I'd easily put out the cigar if it's bothering anyone else.

Aria also has that awesome watermelon juice concoction. Shout-out to the wife of a fellow board member for introducing me to that.

I didn't know about the juice. Will have to check that out.

I love the Aria bacc room. I like Talon as well, but there's something about the Aria bacc room for me. Probably the limits are too high for me to be comfortable in Talon.

I also like the Mirage high limit room. Played in there once but loved the cavern-feel of it.

Forgot about that one! I'm honestly a bigger fan of darker spaces, especially in Vegas. My favorite places in New York were Pegu Club and the upstairs area of Alta, both of which were decidedly cavern-like. And Aria HL also has the advantage of being very accommodating to people who just want to chill on the couches for a bit.

I like the Mirage as well. Good variety and pretty big. And since it wasn’t specific to Vegas..... I really like the Beau Rivage room. Big, good variety and the drink service is top-notch.

I was reminded that in addition to The Mansion, they have HL gaming at Whiskey Down, which is a space I'm a big fan of (I'd somehow forgotten that they have, or at least had, tables).

Vodka watermelon at Ari HL is where it’s at for sure. I like the Encore HL better than Wynn but haven’t played much in either. Agree that the baccarat room at Bellagio isn’t as nice as Club Privé or whatever it’s called now.

I like the Encore high limit as well, but not nearly as much as the Wynn side for two reasons. First, the tables are smushed closer together. Not nearly as cramped as, say, the Caesars high limit. But it gives the same cramped feeling I get at Bellagio. Also, I have never been a big fan of putting high limit slots in the same room with high limit tables. Don't like it at NYNY, never liked it when Cosmo did it, and still don't like it at Encore. Fortunately, I think in all the times I have played there, I have only seen someone playing those slots a couple times

My cousin Sam named a chair in the WHISKEY " Steve" I don't know why really other than she spent a ton of time on that VP machine. Great bartenders in that place.

Just curious if most smokers are offended when asking if people mind and are told yes? I really dislike smelling smoke at the table.

I don't smoke, and don't like the smell, but also don't really mind it too much. It just depends on the makeup of the table. I've also seen dealers get annoyed when smokers are blowing smoke all over the place (which is less of an issue with the plexi).

Personally, I've told someone to turn away when they were blowing smoke directly in my face, but it really does vary based on how you say it and whether or not they're a jerk. But, there are also plenty of non-smoking tables to be had in Vegas these days.
