Hi folks, hope everyone is enjoying their weekend :)

I am heading to Vegas in a few weeks with my best buddy from college and my sister and a few cousins from the Bay Area. Once they all give up (go to sleep), I like to stay up and play high limit slots and sometimes I'll venture off to other casinos on the strip. We are staying at MGM but I wanted to see - what are your favorite high limit rooms in Vegas? Not just looking for where do you win but also where do you enjoy the experience of losing your money the most

Would love to hear what VF members have to say!

    Tim

I actually enjoy the CET ones at PH and Paris, not many people so super fast service.

PH I liked, it was usually empty but fully staffed, close to my elevator bank and had a $5 Double Diamond machine I was looking for and I did really well on. They have a pretty good mix of machines. And some good ones just outside at $1 and up.

Cosmo is a really really nice room, but I do horribly there so far on everything. $5 Double Diamond, $1 / 20 line Davinci, just no luck yet.

MGM Grand is so-so as a room, but has a machine ($1 / 20 line Davinci) just outside that I like. Done horrible inside but pretty well just outside.

Caesars is kinda small, only has one machine that's playable for me ($1 / 20 line Davinci). Although they do have their little semi-HL room nearby with a $5 Double Diamond machine that I pound whenever I'm there.

Luxor had an OK selection except for video slots, they only had 4 or 6 and they were old. On the other hand, those gave us a couple of our biggest hits in the group pull last month.

If you don't find anything in an HL room proper, most places do have similar games at $1 denoms right nearby.

Anybody know if the pay rate for these machines are set at different levels for different casinos? I seem to do better at CET casinos for some reason...maybe all in my head ...

They could be, at different chains, or even within the same chain. My guess is the age of the machine has something to do with it. So if you have two machines of the same game with identical paytables next to each other and one's clearly older, that's the one I'd play. Cause I'd guess the newer one probably has a slightly lower payback % and they don't bother to change it on the older one.

And I'd also figure CET has more older machines.

Bellagio is mine followed by V/P seeing they carry my favorite Thunder cash and Mustang Money and I like the variety of games also on my list is Mandalay Bay specifically for Wizard of Oz 3 reel.

I like V/P too....they have Pinball. Have heard many say they like Cosmo and Bellagio, but haven't Ben in those. Will have to make a point to hit them in April.

Cosmo has $1 TC/MM too, they're outside to the left of you're looking at the high limit room entrance.

I liked the selection at V/P and the service from the staff was excellent. Ran really bad on there though lol.

I also like Cosmo and Bellagio.

It's quite possible. Sometimes, similar machines that are installed next to each other have different holds.

CET also allegedly has machines set to the tightest setting allowable by law. I think one of the manufacturers wanted to end their relationship with them because they didn't want the gambler to constantly have a bad experience.

CET actually has some machine set at 75%? I guess they could be that stupid. But most slot titles can't even be set that low anymore. Do you remember where you heard this from?

Mostly in your head, but they will vary a bit. I know from an experiment by @Sindustry that Cleo II in Spin at Aria is about 92.5% return.

I like Luxor because they have ATM machine inside the HL room. Lol

My fav are Aria, Mirage and NYNY. Although I never spend much time at NYNY but they have more than enough selection for my liking.

Bellagio HL room is quite steep, for video slots is $5 denom and $25 for 3 reel. Nice room but can't afford it

It's actually a machine outside Spin, near the mlife desk. It also happens to be the one cleo2 in all of Aria that pays me the most frequently and at a better rate than the other machines. The ones in Spin have been the worst for me. I should test to see what the pay back is for the ones in Spin.

I wouldn't hesitate to say the same payback, but I'd still be interested to know.

I played them there but I find their machines are super tight...The ones at V/P have been my ATM last few trips.
