Glad you liked the Mandarin's spa. We are trying it for the first time next week and we're really looking forward to it!

I'd also say that Mandarin Oriental's is the best (but it's been a few years since I've been there). I've had facials and massages and they were excellent. It's never been crowded and it's really quiet. I like Cosmo's too, but they don't have heated stone loungers. They put me in their Sahra suite once (I think they room I was supposed to be in wasn't ready) and it seemed nice, but I didn't use any of the extras. I don't like Encore's just because it's always been crowded and loud, but it's beautiful.

I'm hoping to get out to Vegas at the end of June for some R&R. I am torn between staying at Caesars or Wynn, and am interested in using the spa. If she had to choose which would she rather go to?

She said Qua is nice and has more drink choices and Encore only offer water.

Can't go wrong with Qua so I would go there.

One of my favorite things to do in Vegas is going to spas. I generally stick to the one at the hotel that I'm staying in. Although its been a few years since I've been to the spas at Wynn, Encore, Canyon Ranch, MGM, and Bellagio, I enjoyed these spas, but Encore was my favorite at the time, with MGM being my least favorite. The last few years I've generally stayed at Cosmo, and probably been to that spa at least ten times. I'm a massage freak and found the quality varied the first few times I went, but after I found a masseuse I liked, I always ask for him and have been lucky to have him available during my trips. That way, I always know that I'm going to have an excellent massage.

I'm planning on doing a combo Aria and Cosmo on my next Vegas trip. I'll probably try the spa at Aria, which often get great reviews. I all hope to try Mandarin Oriental at some point.

The spa is always part of my vegas trips. I find the massage quality depends very much on the masseuse and not the spa. so whenever the question of which spa you think is best comes up, I focus primarily on the amenities and atmosphere. And based on that, Aria and Encore are the two best, hands down. Bellagio and Qua come next in my book, but the first two really are a cut above the rest. aria has the best amenities (salt room, stone bed room, the infinity pool) and Encore has the best, most spacious atmosphere.

Those two are the places I always try to go. I have been to most spas on the Strip and a lot of them are average. on the other side of the coin, there are only two spas I have been two where I will never return: NYNY and Luxor. If you're staying at one of those and want a spa experience, its worth the trip to another property to experience the spa

Qua is certainly our favorite but the Aria will now be in our itinerary for the upcoming trip next week. Never too busy, The Delano spa is really nice if you are just looking to unwind a little bit and can certainly help with a quick reset from the previous night if you over indulged

Qua is my favorite all-around. I usually get, back-to-back: Sand and Foam (exfoliate with Vichy showers) and a classic massage. I request Yumiko who is excellent.

Cosmopolitan - best masseuse I have had anywhere: Chen. Not sure of the spelling. When I asked her after my first time with her what her name was, she pointed to her chin. :) She's Taiwanese and really, really, really good!

Green Valley Ranch- It is not as large as most others, but they have a private pool (not full size) with nice loungers and covered beds. They have food and drink service. Nice way to spend the day with friends. The gal I used to request for a massage has left, unfortunately.

Never been to a spa so I am clueless on the amenities. However thinking about sending the gf to one in the upcoming trip (most likely aria).
May I take a look at the facilities before deciding to use it or not ? I'm not sure if i want to join the gf, I have this impression that they mainly cater girls, I might feel out of place.

If you go the the spa check-in desk and ask for a tour they will have an attendant show you the facilities. That should give you a good idea of what she (and you) can expect. I have only seen the female facilities but I've heard the men's side is equally as nice. They do have a co-ed area where you can hang out together too.

I doubt you would feel out of place. There is a mens side to the spa that caters to men

Has anyone been to Sahra lately at Cosmo? Going to carve out a few hours at their spa next week on the day we arrive, I've never been though(or to any spa in fact) so I'm wondering if anyone has got any suggestions. As far as best massage, experience, etc.

I went in January and had the Moonflower ritual for I think $265USD. The room it is done in has the most amazing steam shower in it (so many jets and perfect amount of steam plus pressure) the massage was good but not the best I have had and the facilities were a bit weak. The staff were speaking so loudly when they toured ladies through the facilities/ quiet zone and a lady was talking loudly on her cell phone on a bench beside the hot tub which drives me crazy because it takes away from the serenity but otherwise it was very clean. Would I go back? Not sure but I booked Canyon Ranch for my 5th massage for June because I prefer their ammenities and my therapist Antoinette does a fantastic massage.

My wife and her friend are booked in 22 days so I’m curious to hear your review. My wife has been to the spas at Paris, Caesars, Harrahs, and Flamingo and Cosmo is noticeably pricier so I’m really hoping she likes it better. Or then again maybe not so she can return to the slightly cheaper ones across the street!

    What treatment are you getting?

I know you guys already went, but we really enjoyed it too. The spa facilities are very nice, and at 3 pm I was the only person in there so I had the entire pool, steam shower, sauna, cool mist area to myself.

We both ended up doing 80 minute signature massages in a couples Jr suite. We both found it very relaxing and then we had an extra hour after in the show, which is a private room nthat has a sitting area with a TV, steam shower, and a hot tub. At the beginning of the treatment they send someone in to take a room service order, so you can do anything from a full meal to just drinks in your suite and they bring all that when the treatment was over.

It was a beautiful, and surprisingly massive, facility. I'll definitely go back for an afternoon of relaxation.
