So I have a question for fellow fanatics. Have you ever been downgraded rooms upon check-in? Booked back in November and got conformation of a terrace one bedroom. Just arrived and now being downgraded to city at end of the hall. Just curious if anyone has had this happen. Over the past 2 years I made this home base. Not a high roller by any means but was able to make gold. Thanks James

A downgrade can always happen on comped rooms. It certainly isn't the norm though.

Yea this is a first for me. Also at checkin the guy said my assigned host downgraded me because of my play. Asked for a name and he said identity would have it. Go over and of course nada cuz I don't have one. Thought I was more valued than to be giving the run around. Needed to let off some steam

It happen to me. I was suppose to have a one bed room Terrace and just checked in fast dropped my bags off and ran downstairs to meet VM to gamble and when we was done gambling I go upstairs and notice I was given a City Room. I called and was told that was all that was available when I checked in. They offer to move me to a Terrace the next day.

Not the Norm but does happen.

I’ve been bumped to a city room when I did a late check in one time. I was moved to my terrace studio the next day and was given $50 in resort credit as a compensation.

Last year I was supposed to be in a terrace suite plus my gold companion nights for my sister. Somehow we ended up with no second room and ended up stuffed into a terrace one bedroom. (and the girl at the front desk said she got permission to not charge us the upgrade fee for the view o_O ) Two girls in that room is not ideal. My host said somehow the companion nights got missed..but my reservation clearly said terrace suite. Was pretty livid. Sister hadn't been to Vegas in years because she is a single mom and I gave her the trip as a christmas present and I ended up so furious at my host that it put a damper on the trip. I'm a dumbass.
Anyway, I got rid of my host and have been back since and am back to happy again. I decided that one terrible employee won't wreck my cosmo love.. though my trip this year is at the same time.. hopefully I don't get downgraded from my suite again, this time I'm bringing my husband so as long as we have a balcony, I don't care to much. We can share a bed hahaha.

    A lot of them
I would not be a happy camper if I ever got downgraded and always get a confirming email from my host regarding the room, transportation, check-in, free play, and resort credit. I insist on this because I don’t like surprises and wish to avoid confrontations. I guess I have been lucky but if it did happen I guess there is not much I could do about it but suck it up and try to not let it spoil my vacation.

One time I checked in rather late (like 9-10pm) and I ended up getting an accessible room. While the room was fine, the bathroom was not that great. It didn't have a normal shower. So now I confirm with the front desk that I'm not getting an accessible room. I find that the best selections (room type, tower, and floor) are available if you check in between 2-4pm or sometime around that. And if my room type isn't available, then I nicely mention that I don't mind waiting for the room type to become available. Usually that works, and I've had good luck.
