FREEROLL to FREEPLAY??, and Skylofts, and Madness!! MGM March 18-21!

    Having a hard time containing my excitement, so starting this one a few days early!
    Headed back to MGM on Thursday for my first slot tournament and whatever else we can get into!
    Booked in a Skyloft for 3 nights (help me I’m scared because we usually only go for 2!), so I’m excited to actually..maybe.. get to enjoy the room a little this time! Most 2 night trips I don’t feel like there is time to sleep in or take time to even shower for more than 5 min!

    Excited to see what the big slot tournaments are all about, have been to the receptions when other people play, but never actually gotten to bang that button for 3 minutes myself!


    Really hoping for some big wins and I know we will have some epic food/wine to show!
    Dinner plans are never set plans but hope to go to Emerils, Morimoto, and Craftsteak!

    Early-ish flight out on Thursday! Already got the “almost full” email from SWA, so I’m expecting it will be a more crowded weekend! I’ll try to keep it LIVE (if I can remember)

    Good luck - I'm not going to back to slot tournaments until they are back to the way they were before Covid. A way better experience than the current precautioned tournament format.

    Covid be damned the tourney will be a blast. I love MGM! Good luck in your tourney! Smash the Top Dolla HOLLA at Hi limit, 10/20 spin also that hi limit quick hit is good stuff:) They have the all aboard machine right outside hi limit, noticed it last month and hit hand pay. Go take them DOWN! I WILL be cheering you on!!! Good luck!!!

    Thank you hoping to report back some big ones!! Top Dollar and Pinball will always be my favorites but the video machines have sucked me in here lately!!
    I cannot get those dang all aboard machines to hit, but I won’t stop trying!!

    Sweet. I am getting there on the 20th afternoon. I got the same SWA flight almost full notification, but of well. I got my vaccine. This is my first vacation in year, so I am super excited. My location isn't as nearly exciting as yours since I am staying in the executive suite at Bally's.

    Good Luck with the slot tourney and the whole trip.

    We did a slot tourney in dec at V/P.... even though perhaps different... I’ll take the free play that comes with it any day!! Can I get a hell yeah?!! Lol. Have a great trip and good luck in the tourney and the gamble!! Perhaps the extra night will be the luckiest :)

    Mlife does allow you to get your regular offer freeplay when you enter a tournament, so why would those who'se freeplay is way higher than the tournament freeplay enter them? Many of us no longer do for this reason.

    Valid point ... however for some of us... that maybe do not get that high of free play offers it’s awesome :)

    Totally get it. We used to go play in the buy-ins because the experience was amazing. It was like a televised game show. The food and drink was also very good and they were usually held in a large ballroom.

    The slot event this weekend is a $1.5 million Freeroll tournament. The prize breakdown on each host tournament is lucrative IMO considering no buy in.

    Out of curiosity, how have they changed? In fairness, I haven't done Vegas ones ever for the freeplay reason, only locals. I just figured with covid they were just more socially distanced between machines?

    First of all whyyyyy am I awake this early but this is a good time to get this TR caught up!

    Flight yesterday was perfectly on time and completely full! Not sure if it’s just a TX thing since restrictions got a little looser, but getting on the plane was a free for all! They called by groups of 30 again for Southwest.

    Got to LAS a few minutes early and we were checked into our lofts shortly after! Play started off with NO WINS but then picked up!

    Not much action after dinner, I don’t think I’m up or down just pretty much even for the first day.... always take that!

    Seems pretty crowded already which I know will only get more so as the weekend goes on.
