It seems to me that FSE is becoming MiniStrip. It's hard to find that old school Vegas charm with all these renovations. I know, from the Cosmo girl who didn't even make it downtown this past trip.

I'm sorry, I still don't comprehend the TV Tornado at the front of Golden Gate. Tried to watch the hockey game on them and I think I still have a pulled muscle in my neck. (yes, I know about the two large TVs mounted on the wall right next to it. I was trying to prove a point and I did, just hurt myself in the process lol)

I do not understand the TV waste of space. Tiny casino, make a tv sculpture? Yeah ok.

What downtown has been for the last 10 years or so is ending. Hopefully it won't be ruined. One good thing is that with all the new rooms coming on line in the next 2-3 years, when there is a downturn (and there will be one) room rates will be a bargain downtown.

    Yeah thing is so silly.

I kind agree. I like downtown for the dank. I stay down there every trip.

I'm excited about this new project at Fremont though as long as they keep a little of the dank.

Pretty cool that they are going to take the small rooms in the existing tower and make 2 rooms into one.

Yes that is awesome. I stay there often the rooms for sure are in need of a touch up.

One point of concern: Bigger rooms equal higher room rates, and it appears that they're going to turn their 447 rooms to 220-something rooms which will drive the price even higher. Of course, there's the 2nd tower coming but still. You don't get something (more space) in Vegas for nothing.

Glad they're opening a book though. Downtown needs more sports books. And that 700 foot bar sounds fun. Even though the new B-whatever plan doesn't reward VP much it still might be a good place to play VP. Provided they don't go all MGM on us and offer 7/5 DDB or something like that.

Fremont already has a book...not a great one by any means but it has one. It's bigger than QQQQ's book

My Fremont Gambol experience is sadly lacking. I've been inside the place obviously, but haven't spent a lot of time playing there. Partly because El Co, The D, Golden Gate (Yes, even with the Television Cyclone), 4 Queens and Downtown Grand pretty much suck up all of my Downtown gamble.

Still, if they kept the good VP odds and inserted a good book with plenty of good TV's, comfy seats etc. I would definitely be tempted to play there more. Right now the "best" book downtown is GN, but the odds at their bar suck.

If they go the way of the Cal book, don't hold your breathe on good VP odds.

Fremont is my home base downtown so I do play there a lot.

I REALLY like downtown and have zero idea why because I have NEVER won there!!!

When I say never, I mean NEVER!!!

It was the site of the Labor Day massacre of 2017...

I am always up for a better book downtown. I'd wander through the Fremont for a better book. I usually trek to the Westgate for theirs. I love downtown and I am always excited to hear about improvements.
