Received an email from Resorts World offering me an Offer Match. To give you some background, I have had a significant amount of play there, I don't know how exactly their points transfer over to actual play as they don't seem to list it anywhere and I can't even see my Win/Loss on their site or on the app. I have earned about 224,301 Points and am at "The Icon" Milestone Level. I have a host and he's compd be three or four three-night stays since they opened. When I got the offer, I contacted him with my Mlife Rewards offer of $4500 FP, $800 RC, and any suite with availability for up to 4 nights at any of the MGM properties. I was told that he sent it over to his boss for approval and they came back, with $2000 FP, $800 RC, and any suite at Conrad. Given how much I play there I was a little annoyed that they wouldn't match my FP. On the other hand, my partner who has played significantly less at RW, doesn't have a host, and plays tables primarily got his offer from MGM of $2000 FP, $600 RC, and any room type matched completely. I realize that my offer is very high compared to what they were probably prepared to comp, however, I was extremely disappointed. It absolutely has caused me to have no desire to play there anymore considering how tight the machines are it's not even worth it if they are sending me offers I can't even use.

Hi @henkster and great first post!

I think you were just the victim of circumstance here. Im a gambler, my money is on if you presented that offer to them, upfront, they would have matched it to get you in the door.

But, since you showed up on your own, already worked with a host, logged all that play and previously drew comps from them. They probably feel like they dont need to seduce you in to play. Your partner, perhaps is still new to them, without much rated play and no comps drawn from them, and that is why they are willing to match.

A lot of casinos in town offer to match, in order to get a new player in the doors. I really cant think of any newly opened casino that didn't, eventually, go that route. I know when the Plaza reopened, I took advantage of their match offer. Same at SLS. Both places I never went to before. But, if I wanted CET (where I have a history of rated play) to match my Mlife offer, they most likely would tell me to pound sand.

The email you got, probably went out in mass by them looking to harvest players. Since you are a harvested player already, I guess it is generous of them to still match something!

In other news, if you played the same way on these 4 trips to RW, as you did on your other trips with Mlife, just how shitty are the corporate offers at RW, if they balked at even giving you half as much free play as Mlife does?
