Grazie Cruise Certificate ?

I have the cruise certificate offer in my Grazie account in June. We're planning to be in town during the time of the offer, and I thought I'd try to book and pick up the certificate. We have never been on a cruise but have wanted to try an Alaskan cruise. I emailed my casino marketing person and she said the certificate was for Caribbean and Mexico locations, which really aren't of interest to us. I was wondering if anyone here had successfully received the certificate and booked for a different location? We would be willing to pay the difference in cost, but I'm not sure that's even an option, or whether it would be the same price as booking without the certificate. Before I pursue further, I thought I'd ask here. If you receive a cruise offer certificate, are you obligated to book only the locations that are part of the deal, or can you upgrade/pay the difference to go to a different location? The Casino Rep said the offer is from Princess Cruises, if that makes any difference. Thanks for any info you can pass along.
