Just booked a trip to NOLA for Mardi Gras. Will stay at Harrah’s.

Has anyone ever gone down for this before? And if so what are your thoughts?

Was debating about going to the VIP balcony on Bourbon Street times. Any other events through Harrah’s worth checking out ?

Harrahs is across from the French Quarter and you will need to time your navigation. Lots of parades, partying and insanity. Bourbon
Street will be complete madness (not in a good way). Depends on the experience your looking for, I did it once just to see the insanity and drunken experience.
Kinda like Times Square on NYE.

It's a crazy party, you will see people doing all kinds of things for beads, will need to be on the look out for pickpockets, drunks looking to fight, and moving around the quarter will be a challenge. Still if your going with a group of friends looking for one of kind experience, its one for your lifetime.

Personally I prefer the quarter two weeks before Mardi Gras, city is cleaned up, plenty of parades, you can get over to bourbon street and party before the insanity the days leading up to Fat Tuesday.

    Have a good time.

Thank you for the advice. We’ll be careful around the drunk 20 somethings that want to fight.

One person in the group has a colleague that lived in NOLA for over a decade, so he told us which parades to check out.

    Should be a good time.
