We did a quick planned overnight trip to Harrah's Tahoe last Wednesday. It was more a trip to just get away, test the waters, and to have a nice sit down dinner at Friday's Station.

Check in was quick and easy, Diamond check in is closed, but only one other couple in line. Walk through a temperature check to get to the counter and the counter is thoroughly wiped down after each customer.

As of the 24th, masks are required full time while in Harrah's. There were people going around gently reminding people to wear masks and providing them if they didn't have one. No arguments and most people seemed to abide by the rules. Smoking is allowed (disappointing), but the mask helps.

Can't comment much on gambling, as we weren't really there to gamble. Lost a couple of hundred just pecking around the casino, dropping in on machines that looked interesting. No major wins or losses and can't tell you how many RC's or TC's we gained. There were plenty of machines available and the vibe was pretty quiet for the most part. Things did get a little lively later in the evening when the booze started flowing.

I can' say enough about dinner at Friday's station, excellent food and service. Highly recommend reservations as they are limiting seating.

We did miss having Harvey's open, as I much prefer the VP there as opposed to Harrah's.

This was our recon to see how the casino's are handling the virus. We felt very comfortable in and around the casino and have already made reservation for the newly renovated Harvey's for next month.

We did note no coffee makers or refrigerators in the rooms, we take our own Keurig and a backpack cooler with ice for our drinks for perishables. Ice machine on the floor was functioning. We travel with wipes and Lysol spray, but noted the room was very clean but no maid service during the stay. They will bring you towels as needed.

That's it, we rate the trip an A. I do miss the valet, but check in was a breeze there we're no major hiccups along the way.

We've never had a bad experience there. We're going to try again later this month, we have reservations at Harveys for the end of the month. Hoping Fridays is still open then.
