Today was my first trip to my local casino since quarantine. I had no idea what to expect when I arrived. Masks were required and you did have to pass through a thermal temp scanner.
Once in, everything looked the same. Every other machine, however, was marked out of order (although still on). There were no BJ or Bacc tables open in the HL area (about 10am). As a matter of fact, I counted that there were only 3 BJ tables (all $25 min), 1 craps table ($15 min) and 1 roulette table ($10 min) was open during the 1.5 hours that I was there.
I started at a $10 Top Dollar machine....dumped $500 in less than 5 minutes....so went to one of the BJ tables. Had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to get felted for a spot to open. No plexiglass, 3 person max per table.
Checked in for $1500. Played my normal 2 spots. It was up and down for about 4 shoes. Then the relief dealer came on (had $800 left). First hand with the new dealer...BJ / BJ @ $300 per spot. Ok - I can live with this. We had a good run over the next shoe and a half. Then the regular dealer came back. Won a few, lost a few more. Looked at my stack - $6400. Time to go home. Got my $500 back that I pissed away on Top Dollar plus $4400.
