Has anyone split room comps into multiple rooms?

So I'm looking to do something like this: we have a 4 night offer from Park MGM, but for our next trip we'd like to take some friends who couldn't really afford to go if they have to pay for flight + rooms and everything else, so we'd like to split up 4 nights into 2 rooms over 2 nights, or get a decent rate on a suite with 2 rooms, etc. We aren't high rollers by any means, a gambling bankroll of 2k per day on craps/bj is about our limit.

I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time asking or is this not unheard of? Going alone we'd prefer cosmo or wynncore but I'm pretty confident this wouldn't happen given our level of play.

I can't say I've heard of this, and have a feeling it's unlikely, but there absolutely never any harm in asking. The main issue is that the four nights will have different comp values (i.e., two rooms on a Friday/Saturday is different than one room on a Thursday-Sunday span), and also that the comps are really intended for you personally, not so much to share among friends. That said, it's definitely worth a shot, and you might get more traction calling Mlife and asking if you can get a discounted rate for those nights and save the "comps" for another trip.

I have only reserved two rooms when the wife and I receive offers on our separate cards based on individual play. I have taken friends and just checked in to both rooms and add them as guests. Under one players card offer I do not think you will be able to get this done.

Thanks for the responses, unfortunately it sort of confirmed what I was afraid of. I think we'll just ask for a good rate for 2 rooms.

Do they not have a companion rate there? Caesars usually has a bring a friend thing on all the spammy stuff they send me that sounds like you can get a discounted rate for friends. Wynn's emails lets me send my crappy offer to a friend (the $120 per night thing they send everyone). I think Cosmo will let you book a second room at a discounted rate.. or I had a really good reservation agent a couple trips ago lol.
I set my friend up with my companion nights at Cosmo and then I offer to put them up at planet hollywood because CET gives me lots of free rooms and I hate them and don't gamble in their casinos so when I get burned for no playing them, it won't matter. Plus I got those offers on spending nothing there so I might even be okay hahaha. I haven't had to do the planet hollywood thing yet but it's always an option for me.

You should be able to get the comp’ed room for yourself and a casino rate for your friends. If you have a host, they can help with it, if not, the mlife call center might be able to facilitate it. It’s extremely common, so I would think they’ll do it for you.

If you do eat meals at an mgm property, charge everything to your room and have your friends pay you back. You might be able to get some backend comps, but only if it’s charged to your room.

Email a host, ParkMGM desperate for player. Tell them you are staying there and review your play history to see if they can comp your friend's room (say they're gambler too)

Do you have a status anywhere else? I've had great luck getting a MLife host to beat CET offers including receiving a comped second room for a friend at MGM Grand on my last trip.

Edit, just to clarify, I'll screenshot the CET offer, send it to my MLife host and say if you can match this and give me a free additional room for my friend, I'll stay with MLife instead of CET.

I have 2 nights at Cosmo, I stopped getting CET comps since I stopped going to their properties. My gut was saying I don't have the history/play to ask for much at Cosmo, but maybe I could use it as leverage for MLife

Update: I emailed 2 hosts at MGM Grand, 2 at NYNY, ParkMGM, Mirage (had to hunt down through linkedin), and Cosmo.

The Cosmo and Mirage hosts emailed me back same day, but Mirage host won't be back in office till Thurs. Automated messages from everyone else. Seems like hosts go on vacation en mass in January?

My Cosmo identity offer was for 2 free nights through April, but we want to go in May. He's willing to give us 3 comped nights for our room, and a casino rate for the other room (Both Terrace Studios, non premium view).

I won't hear back from Mirage till Thurs but I don't think they're gonna be able to top that unless they want to start offering 2 bedroom suites (I think I have a snowballs chance in hell of getting a 2 bedroom suite).

Getting closer and closer to just not even considering other properties, maybe Wynncore someday. Cosmo just does things better than MGM/CET.

What is the casino rate for Cosmo on the nights you want to go? Cosmo is usually pretty pricey on their rooms. At Park MGM, just a quick search of their site shows nights as low as $95 each.

I've gotten a 4 night comp offer split into 2 reservations, 2 nights apiece.
This was at Vdara, so anything's possible.

Casino rate averaged out to $140 a night. Another couple decided they want to go and maybe one more so I have to re-evaluate, no idea how many rooms I'd be able to get that rate on, unfortunately I'm expecting to have to stay somewhere else with this particular group of people.

A little different option, try looking at the Jockey Club, it's a timeshare/suites place basically connected to Cosmo. I've never stayed, and it looks a little dated, but at the right times there are some pretty good deals there.
