Has anyone tried to upgrade from resort suite comp room to tower suite at Encore? How much would it cost to upgrade in your experience and is it worth it? We have the resort king suite reserved on 6/9-12. Hope some one can answer me before we go. Thanks!

Never mind, I already called them, they said there is no offer of upgrade for this type of comp offer.

You can still ask at the front desk because the information is often fluid. The phone attendants have a certain protocol they must recite but the reservations desk can make things happen.

Thanks westsidewaltz for your replay, I suppose there is no harm to asked at check in, I already ask them to try to give us a quiet room, I read that the encore room can be pretty loud due to the night club music, we might have to bring some ear plugs just in case.

They will almost certainly offer an upgrade....for a price. Here is the website, so you can decide for yourself if you want to take it. I have to say that the less crowded elevators in themselves make it worthwhile. A $50 breakfast credit may not seem like much, but you also get free coffee in the morning so that could be a breakfast buffet for two. The rooms aren't that much different from the standard rooms, but the location and service set them apart.

Thank you for your reply westsidewaltz, Yeah, I knew the room would be pretty much the same, the reason I consider upgrade is the free buffet line pass plus as you said the private elevator & $50 free breakfast. Didn't know about the free coffee. We will see how much they want for the upgrade. Since we are not staying the third night, will go home on the third night after dinner and do mobile check out the next morning, it might not be worth it if they want too much for the upgrade, which restaurant would you suggest for breakfast in case if we do upgrade?

Terrace Point Cafe has a very good breakfast. It’s just past the buffet.

Agree with Terrace Pointe cafe also Jardin was great for breakfast. Both would be over $50 for two people I think

Thanks Luckylinda for your suggestion, I looked at the menus, breakfast on both restaurants sounds good.

I think the buffet is great.....but once. Although you're over on the Encore side, the best place for breakfast, by far, is Tableau, a small restaurant located near the elevators of the Wynn Tower Suites. Beautiful setting and superb food. That would be my first choice even without a resort credit.

Thank you all for your input on good breakfast restaurants, Now I know Wynn has so many choices for good breakfast. Now only if we can get upgrade to tower suite at a reasonable cost. Thank you all again for your replies.

You probably won’t receive a free breakfast if you upgrade at a lower rate. I’ve been offered an upgrade for $75-100 per night if there’s a lot of availability. The upgrade never included the free breakfast

It’s been almost a year since I’ve stayed at the Wynn or Encore via a comped room so things may be different now

UCLA Girl, thank you for the info, it is more than likely that the policy has not changed since your were there, I guess it would not be worth it to upgrade at $70 -100 a night without the free breakfast especially we are not going to stay the third night.

I have 3 comp nights in an Encore Resort King and was also wondering about an upgrade to a tower suite.
So when you called they said you aren't allowed to pay for an upgrade on your comp offer?

She asked the supervisor, I supposed she checked my husband history and said no upgrade, didn't say if we can pay for an upgrade or not. Anyway, the girl at the front desk didn't offer upgrade for a fee either, she only asked if we want to opt in for resort fee of $45/night. We didn't ask for the upgrade since we were leaving on the third night instead of checking out in the morning, no sense of paying upgrade for 3 nights when we were only staying for 2 nights. I guess you can ask about it when you check in, buffet line pass plus free breakfast for 2 ($50 worth) makes it worth the upgrade if you are staying for 3 nights. We have booked the encore resort king again with the same offer in October. They offered the Wynn panoramic view high floor this time, but we asked for the Encore Resort King instead, it is a very nice room, be sure to ask for quiet room if loud music from the club bothers you.

Thanks for the reply and clarification. I'm booked for October too and was offered the Wynn Panoramic View for my 3 comp nights as well but I also requested the Encore Resort King as I prefer the Encore rooms. I might call and ask how much it would be to upgrade to the Encore Tower Suite. I'll let you know what I find out.

I just called them. Yes, they said the comp offer is not available for a reserved upgrade of any kind, not even a paid upgrade. He said what you can do is ask at check-in if there are any tower suites available and if there are, you can request the upgrade. The cost of the upgrade will depend on availability and the exact dates of your stay. He did look up availability during my dates and said there aren't many tower suites on the Encore side booked at this time, but it is still a few months out so a lot could change. So I guess I'll wait and see if I can get an Encore Tower Suite at check in.

Thanks LuckyNumberSlevin! Now we know. I think we can ask them for line pass if we gamble enough. I will ask them how much do we need to gamble to get the line pass at the time they load the free play on the red card at the Red Card desk. The wait was about 15 to 20 mins. for the buffet when we were there in June. I think the line should be shorter in Oct since summer peak time is over. I remember there were hardly any line in Feb. Thanks again for letting me know.
