Yeah when I’m not doing well in Laughlin I sometimes drive up to Henderson for the day then, I do better at the “off strip” casino in the Las Vegas area than I do in Laughlin.

The Harrahs here in Arizona shares management with the one in So Cal and does some of the same things- took out the full pay VP a few years ago but has some decent games mixed in with some bad ones. 9/5 DDB, 7/5BP even in quarters if you know where to look I go there too every so often, and have been to the So Cal one a few times

Usually bar top has worse pay tables but in California since they can’t comp alcohol there they may not and hope they get people to buy a lot of drinks and run up a big tab.

Lake Tahoe is magical. I recommend visiting even if someone doesn’t gamble. Harrahs Reno is older. Other casinos, the Nevada Museum of Art and river walk area are close by and walking distance. You can cab, Uber or Lyft to the Peppermill and Atlantis. I’ve won at both and lost at both. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been to the area.

If you have an opportunity to rent a car and take a day trip to Tahoe, do so.

The river in Laughlin is picturesque but does not compare to Tahoe. If it worked with my schedule, I’d take the comped charter to someplace new. If the gaming isn’t good, the worst thing with CET is you won’t be invited back. There are interesting things to see in the greater Laughlin/Bullhead City area. However, you’ll need to rent a car.

Harrahs Laughlin brings lots of players in on charters. I’ve met people who’ve been there 4 or 5 days and have not stepped outside. Watching the sunset and sunrise over the river is pretty amazing. The early morning is quite peaceful.

I’ve won in Laughlin and have lost in Laughlin. I’ve always have had better luck at Harrahs than Aquarius. I have friends who do better at Aquarius. It’s been a year since I’ve been to Laughlin. My money lasted longer than it has in the past 18 months or so at Ak Chin.

I’ve cut my play way back this year. I’ve made 2 trips to Ak Chin, a few hours on a Sunday morning in Feb and an overnight trip in April. I spent around the same amount of cash, out of pocket, the one night at Ak Chin as I did on my trip to Biloxi and NOLA. This includes all the non-gaming things I paid in cash.

I guess we are not welcome to pay at the Sport Bar bar top since we wont be buying alcoholic drinks, but our money would last longer if we play 7/5 quarter or 50 cents machines. I was lucky enough to win a quad 2 2 days ago playing on 50 cents max bet. .

I have booked our trip to Lake Tahoe, most likely will rent a car for a day or two. I think I will pass on the Laughlin free trip, The free trip to Laughlin is too long, don't really want to stay that many days there. I think we would drive to Laughlin on our the way home if we go there at all. Making a around trip from Vegas (4 hours) waste too much time, Thanks for your advice and info.

I think you will love Tahoe. Do they still offer 2 comp tickets on the Tahoe Star to diamond and 7* players?

That was one of the highlights of a trip I took with my mom and her hubs 8 years ago, toward the end of September. Weather was still good.

Depending on your trip dates, call the concierge. You never know.
