I have been working with Hunter, at Planet Hollywood, for the past few trips and staying there. This time, I asked him to put us at Paris because I do not like PH's pool. Is this going to hurt him? I did send him an email to switch us back if it does, but our trip is in a week. He has been really good to us, and I don't want to hurt his credits.

Sorry I don't know the answer to this but thought it would be an appropriate place to ask the question. How are the host paid? Do they get more money if their hosted players spend more?

As I understand it, it doesn't matter where you stay/play within the CET family.

In regards to how hosts get paid, it depends on the casino. Their compensation is typically tied into theoretical generated and actual losses.

I don't think you will necessarily "hurt" him. But you will find he can't do quite as much for you at a sister property. The area we noticed it the most was picking up the tab for meals etc at the end of our stay. Often times at his home property he did so without taking away any of our TR points, at sister properties, that was never the case.

If you are staying at a CET prop can't you use any pool except Cromwell and maybe Flamingo? I've shown my platinum card and PH hotel key at Caesars and got in no problem.

Don't be silly. I know Hunter personally and consider him a friend. I don't do business with him only because I don't stay or play at any cet property. He world want you to just have fun. Don't worry about hurting him although that is really nice of you. Worry about yourself and don't lose too much money! You can stay and play at any cet property and should get the save comps and services as you get at PH. Thanks for caring about Hunter but put your feeling of hurting him in a hot air balloon and let it float away. Enjoy queen..

The first part of the answer is almost right; the answer depends on the region. What VM said is correct, it wouldn't matter to Hunter where in LV you stayed, be it at PH or the Linq or Paris; nor would it matter where you played. The situation changes once you leave Hunter's region; then you're coded to another host or marketing/player development office. For example, I have a local host in Caesars AC that takes care of me when I'm there. However on a couple of occasions, I've asked him to book a room for me in LV. If I go out there and decide to play at MGM only, I would not hurt my AC host in the least, because once I'm out there, I'm assigned a host from the Asian marketing department, and my play is coded to him/her not to my guy in AC.

I'm actually having dinner with Hunter this moment. He said that he gets credit for the first time you book out of the Las Vegas market.

Hunter's been happy to book me in any CET hotel in Vegas that I choose. I do find the comps to be better if I stay at PH though. I got back last week from Ceasars (the Who Concert offer). I was charged for the limo this time but not a big deal. I didn't ask him to comp anything so and in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter to me on that.

He does get credit for any CET hotel that his people are at though from what I know. I tend to wander and gamble at all the CET places when I'm in town.

In my experience CET always charges for the limo where they take it off your reward credits. I get dinged all the time, even when on my 7* trips.

I'm gonna confirm about those stupid limo charges. Got so used to using them for even short trips, but bugs me every time I see those $65 folio charges for them....

My hosts usually just tell me they will send a limo when I give them my flight schedule and dates I need at hotel. I usually don't have to ask. We have one driver we really like named Brandon and he just gave me his cell to text him when we need a ride anywhere and we don't get charged for limo on folio but we tip him well. Lol I do let him smoke while driving us and I do the same. I can't have a drink without a cigarette. ;)

Hmmm; surprised nailing (smoking) in the limo. I would think that's a major infraction for the casino or limo co. However, more power to you and as far as having a nail with drink - here here!!

Probably why he likes us and we get free rides. Lol I always request him too because after flying from the east coast it's the first thing I want to do is smoke after drinking all day on the plane and getting in to Vegas. ;)
