How do you EAT in Vegas?

I eat like a 12 year old. I eat basically when the alternative is fainting from hunger. So by the time I do "need" to eat, it's whatever is closest, quick and easy. Breakfast is usually a bagel or something quick from Starbucks. Dinner is usually the buffet, because it's quick. If the hotel I'm at has a decent place to grab sandwiches, that too. That was always one of the nice things about Bellagio, the different places where you could get quick, decent, takeout - Snacks at the Sportsbook and Cafe Gelato were two favorites. A food comp is absolutely, completely wasted on me. At Bellagio I always had comp food and beverage, which was $350 a day. I probably didn't even spend $350 for the entire 3 day stay.

My one exception to this is at least one night I always do room service. I typically try to plan a time, and actually order it ahead so I can just show up 15 minutes or so before it is due to arrive.

 

This is me! I end up eating when I'm completely famished and about to pass out. My food comp is mostly wasted. I do however let myself eat lots of sweets when I'm in Vegas (mostly cheesecake ). I try to diet between my Vegas trips and then eat whatever I want when I'm there. I also eat at least one room service meal especially at Cosmo with their awesome terraces.

 

Glad to know I'm not alone . I already have my Cosmo room service meal chosen for my next trip, which is basically the same as I had last time. Grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes and veggies - and chocolate ice cream for desert. Mmmmmmmmm.

 

I avoid paying for anything in Vegas except tips, all my money goes towards gambling. If I go solo I use my food comps for all my meals. If the wife goes with me I can't do that because she likes to try new restaurants at various hotels. I never eat three meals a day in Vegas and some days only eat one late in the afternoon and maybe a late night snack. I lose enough money there without having to come home and try to lose weight as well lol.

Always have dinner reservations somewhere nice at night for 5-630pm due to time change we are starving by then lol

Usually lighter breakfast between 7-830 depending where staying. And how late was up night before
A good lunch at around 11-1
At a place like herringbone shake shack bruxies China poblano etc... Nothing too filling depending on dinner plans

Hell half the time lunch included at slot tourneys so don't have to worry about it much.

I am a foodie so always like to get in as much dining experience at new places each trip.

Next trip in already planning magal bbq for sure and golden tiki.
Maybe try another venue at T-Mobile arena area as well.

Usually use up all resort credit and then some and hope for backend comp but if not not the end of the world.

 

Oh oh yeah I would rather have Resort credit over FreePlay any day

 

Usually two meals but I can snack all the time between them. I've done 8pm dinners in Vegas and they're not my favorite but I have friends that made the reservations. I always want a few nicer dinners because I'm on vacation and there's such a great selection of places to try.

I always have breakfast, usually at mon ami. I do want to try eggslut on my next trip. I'm from the east coast and never adjust to Pacific time since I'm only in Vegas a few days. I'm up at 4am and in the casino, so I'm usually ready for breakfast around 7 or 8 am. Lunch is hit or miss, depending on how I feel. More often or not I will have something. I will always have dinner at a higher end restaurant. If I skip lunch, I may just do happy hour in the bar with a few small plates. If it's not happy hour, I'll have dinner around 7 or 8ish.
I like choices so I order what I want and pack up at least half for one of my regular dealers. I do this even at breakfast.

 

Breakfast usually between 530-630 if golfing of not I eat at 800-930. Mostly always the same, room service, 4 eggwhite omelette with extra ham, onions, bell pep and a side of jalapenos. Hash browns, Two sides of well done crispy bacon, oatmeal with brown sugar, and fresh squeezed oj. Pitcher of ice water. If I want something besides omelette it is eggs beni...
12-1pm is Lunch and is hit and miss but usually a salad and a side of well done crispy bacon!
Dinner is always late and an indulgent. 830 reservations which means eating by 915 ish. Always at a nice restaurant ( SW, Sinatra and mizumi) with service service service and great food and of course a side of well done crispy bacon! This trip hope to try something new like carbone and eggslut if they have good well done crispy bacon!. Problem is no comps there and hate to pay cash but whatever. It's all good. I always try to eat and play where i stay. Actually, I think we have a reservation carbone with VC, BRONCO, VM and others. Will be fun.
Late night food (3am Ish) will probably be a couple pepperoni pizzas for bronco and myself from Allegro at Wynn. To go of course!
Also host will send to the room probably daily cheese platters, fruit, champ and who knows what else.
In between and during each meal 100s of drinks a day.
Probably gain 15 lbs over 3 1/2 days! Lol

Oh, at the save time and along with those pizzas we would get a bone in veal parm with extra sauce as an appetizer of course all to go.

 

You'd love the date glazed bacon at Mon Ami. mmmmmmmm

 

HELLO newmans...... Meet you there at 7am! Actually you will be sleeping in our closet/bathroom, I will wake you early! Lol

We'll do a breakfast run. Bacon and eggslut! Eggslut opens at 6....I'm ready!!

 

If DH is golfing I walk to Sabalatte and have a great coffee and a scone. Otherwise we do a sit down breakfast. Normally split something for lunch or have something light. Dinner we like to eat nice.. Around 6-7. If we do a pool day we eat something light out there. Love to grab a slice of Five 50 or a gelato cone on the way up to the room at the end of the day!

Ps, no eating in Vegas at all between the hours of 130pm and 9pm so my stomach is empty and ready for Veuve and other libations. Yes, I will most likely be drunk ish...

 

I'll grab a bite of bacon or potato off my husbands room service breakfast occasionally. Then I get hungry around 5pm but not always for a big dinner. Sometimes I'm fine with just grabbing a slice of pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and continuing to drink. If I eat a big meal it ruins me from drinking the rest of the night....Unless I do shots to catch back up. Lol

 

Part of the appeal of Las Vegas is good dining, it's one of the reasons I go there. I get awesome comps so I eat well! We eat two meals for sure, most of the time the lunch is a more casual sit down and dinner is a very nice sit down. It breaks up the gaming because we don't do much else other than eat and gamble we have seen all the shows. I never worry about food prices in Las Vegas and so I get whatever I want to eat. I used to be like some here when I was gambling and not eat anything much or at all, those days are gone.

 

Jagermeister is my breakfast, lunch and dinner!!
I will occasionally throw in some steak or pizza.
In all seriousness though I truly only eat one large meal a day regardless of whether or not I am in Vegas.
