I’m back! 9/22-9/26. IHeart Music Festival and a new Vegas “home”.

This may be common news, but if you just can’t get enough Vegas, Drais in Cromwell has an after hours hookah club that’s open from midnight to 6 AM. And not that anyone would be enjoying other types of plants or pharmaceuticals to relax, but just in case their is a Cake machine outside of the entry!

 

I have not seen an MGM property with a better double top dollar selection than Mirage. Every denom and all are two coin.

 

I have officially gone 24 hours without a bonus. Not handpay, a bonus. Come on Vegas, at least give me the perception of having a chance.

 

Trying to use a little strategy which is stupid but you never know. They had their last or one of their last big events this weekend. Invite only dinner and lots of drawings. The only reason I didn’t go was they would not allow me to keep my freeplay and get invited. So I went to Bellagio. So anyway, going over late night tomorrow or Monday morning. I’m guessing their big dogs are there and loading them up!!!

When I return home and people ask how I did I’m just going to point to this shirt. Kidding of course…maybe…

 

Day 3 has come to an end. Let’s just get this out of the way. The gambling has been unbelievably bad (other than the first night). It’s not just the loss, it’s the fact that we are getting almost zero playback. And between the three of us we play just about all the different types of games. I did have three handpays after dinner at NYNY but they were mixed bars with a triple diamond for $1500/each on $100/200 top dollar. That is a handpay in name only as it’s 7x my bet.

I had one more at Venetian.for $2125 on a top dollar $25/50.

So yesterday we walked the strip and some of the shops. Again, crowds seem to be huge everywhere we go. We walked through Planet Hollywood, Paris, Cromwell, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Casino Royale, and then played for awhile at Venetian. Not sure what’s going on in Harrah’s high limit room. I have played their a lot as it was across from The Mirage but they have taken out most of the games in high limit, including the two old style multi denom double top dollars.
All of those casinos were busy but Venetian was packed and people were playing in the early afternoon. They had a big slot tourney this weekend as I saw a bunch of people with lanyards with their admission ticket around their neck.

Dinner was very good at Gallagher’s and they were really busy as well.

Side note: my son sent me a pic from Twitter where someone had the window smashed out of their SUV and all their luggage and contents stolen from the Venetian garage. So if you drive, consider using the bell desk until you are ready to leave.

Nothing really to report. I certainly had a lot of fun but the gambling (specifically the losing) has become too much of the central focus of this trip.

This morning it’s brunch at Bellagio and the. We are going downtown. Dinner tonight is at my current favorite: Prime.
