With the rolling point system, sometimes i cant find a clear answer with the info Cosmo supplies. Hopefully somebody that has a better understanding of the point system might be able to let me know what might happen in this scenario.

You get gold status in July 2017. The points are a rolling year from the date you get them and you have 1 year from July 2017 to get the 20,000 and requalify. Say you only get 15,000 points in Jan 2018, so you dont requalify for gold by July 2018. In Aug 2018 you get 5000 more in so you would have 20,000 in a rolling year, do you then get gold again in August or does the points counting towards gold start over again when you didnt make the 20,00 by July?

    Hope that made sense

What happens is, when you got Gold in July 2017, you advanced your tier from Sterling, and so you set a new Anniversary Date for your own player year. Let's say you crossed the threshold on July 31.

Now you have until July 31, 2018 to get 20,000 points again.

You go in January and get the 15,000.

July 31, 2018 comes around and you didn't reach 20,000, so your status drops to Sterling. You start a new player year. Your anniversary date remains July 31.

In August 2018 you get 5,000 points, which re-ups you as Sterling through to July 2020. You still have until July 2019 to reach Gold or Platinum. If you go on to reach 20,000 again, let's say in May, I don't know if your anniversary date would reset.

I'm trying to think of a good illustration of how the rolling point system might come into play after you have set an anniversary date, but I haven't thought of one yet.

An easy way to think of it as when you’re maintaining a tier, you have 1 year to earn so that it re ups. Advancing a tier always looks back 365 days on a rolling basis. So like you asked. On your anniversary you would revert to Sterling. And in August when you earned those 5000 they would look back one year and see how many points you’ve accumulated and then go back up to gold since the 15000 earned was within the last year.

I’ve done exactly that before. I was close to renewing gold. Only a couple thousand short. But couldn’t make it to LV before then. I then earned points I needed a couple month later and went right back to gold.

Good info, wasn't sure how that would work. I'm guessing that should reset your anniversary date again too, since you ended up dropping and then re-advancing your tier.

Your anniversary date becomes the day you cross the threshold to a higher tier.
