edit: Looks like this was posted in the Identity section too. Sorry about that...

Received this email. Thought I would share.

    Dear Guest,

Our entire team at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas hopes that you and your loved ones are staying safe and doing well as we attempt to navigate through these unexpected times. Upon the official 30-day closure mandate issued by Nevada Governor Sisolak, effective beginning Wednesday, March 18 at 12 a.m. midnight, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will discontinue casino gaming operations, followed by a temporary closure of the full resort on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 12 p.m. PST. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and support this directive as it is essential to the health and wellbeing of our guests, employees and community.

    Identity Member Offers
To allow you to focus on what matters most, we have made the decision to pause Identity Membership & Rewards communications for the foreseeable future. However, that does not mean your offers have gone away. You can review your offers by logging in to your Identity Online account at any time—meaning your best offer will be ready and waiting when you choose to travel again.

    Identity Points & Benefits
As a thank you for your loyalty, all Identity Points & Tier Benefits that are scheduled to expire prior to June 30 will be extended to December 28, 2020.

If you have any questions related to Identity Membership, your benefits, or your offers, please reach out to your Casino Marketing Executive or contact the Identity team directly at IdentityMembership@cosmopolitanlasvegas.com.

If you are interested in booking a future stay prior to August 31, 2020, we will allow those reservations to be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours prior to your arrival date.

We are extremely grateful for your support and patronage of the resort and are dedicated to keeping you updated through this dynamic situation. When travel conditions improve, we look forward to welcoming you back at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas again soon.

Yes I received the email too. I’m so bummed tonight. I was supposed to be at Cosmo for 5 nights starting tomorrow. My heart is breaking.....I didn’t get to use my offer I booked under since it was canceled, and it is back in my offers with an extended good through date. Anyone know if Duran Duran canceled the May 2nd show? I considered claiming my tickets and booking those dates at Cosmo, in hopes Vegas returns for it.

I don't think anyone knows anything for sure, but if it's scheduled for 2 May, I would not count on it.

I got this too. Someone over at Cosmo needs to google the meaning of the word "important." We're facing much more difficult times than "will I get my free slot play"!!

I personally don't mind having something to look forward to once we all get through this. Yes, it's shit right now. Yes, there are more important things right now. But sometimes I'd rather be whining about resort fees, paid parking, 6/5 blackjack, 000 roulette, $17 cocktails, unfair comps, and bogus bonuses on Buffalo. I miss those days and can't wait for them to return.

I can't argue with that, but I still see daily posts on Facebook about how Wynn slots was gutted, when do i get my gems back, why is the Buffett closed, etc so I don't doubt they're actually fielding lots of calls and email regarding crap like this.

All the comp tickets for Duran Duran were claimed. Called within 15 min of getting the email saying they were comped and still got shut out.

Moot point show unfortunately cancelled now. Not terribly unexpected given the situation with added difficulty of band traveling.

UPDATE: Kevin reached out for some more info and they fixed the issue super quickly.

Interesting... I just got another offer for Sep. 1-Nov. 30 posted online--though no accompanying email and all the dates appear blacked out on the calendar.

Additionally, this summer, I'm able to book May 1-June 30 but almost all of July and August are blacked out even though the date of the offer goes May 1-Aug 31. Never had any real blackout dates before other than stuff like New Years previously.

Also, with keeping your current tier, I went down to sterling online a day or two after that email was sent. Maybe this is something they have to do manually?

Obviously compared with what's gong on in the world, this is not very important at all, just thought I'd share out what's happening on my end as I think we all hope to be able to go back and support Vegas soon.

Are you able to tell us if the video poker machines at Chandelier and the sports book will be in service upon reopening?

Speculation on my part, but I'd bet on every other spot being open, but there's no reason for the machines to not be open if the rest of the casino is. They're not opening Vegas as a hotel-only destination, after all, and Cosmo has said that gaming ("table games & slots") will be open.

And the sports book bar is listen as being open on their website. So I’d assume the machines will be on even if it’s every other machine.

Yeah, reading this below I would assume it. They might need to come up with something to avoid walk up orders though because those still have been deemed prohibited according to this.

    https://thenevadaindependent.com/ar...-reopen-on-friday-as-state-moves-into-phase-2

"Bars and taverns that don’t serve food, including bars in restaurants, as long as they don’t exceed 50 percent capacity. Patrons are not allowed to walk up and order at bars, but can sit at bar tops as long as they remain six feet apart."
